Hey guys, Hari here.

If you were here around 2011, you might remember me as that guy who really, really likes pizza. Well, that hasn't changed! Not much has, actually, though I'd like to think I've grown up a little since those days. To be honest, the reason for my absence was because I was dealing with heavy anxiety at the time (still am, I have actually struggled with exteme social anxiety for as long as I can remember), and I became avoidant of social interaction both offline and online.

But my time at OLS UK stayed with me through that time, and I am very glad to see it has returned as the Nexus! :D

Anyway, what about me? Still Hari, still like pizza. I like games (all kinds, but my top three would have to be Legend of Zelda, Demon's/Dark Souls, and Metal Gear.) I like anime (why else would I be here? :P) and I listen to a lot of indie rock, surf punk, lo-fi, whatever you want to call it. I like to think I'm a friendly person, and I try to keep my mind as open as I can, so I hope we can all get along. ^^

I'd rather not write too much about myself, since I'd rather you got to know me on the forums! I look forward to interacting with all of you again. c:

Nice to meet you Hari! Er...Well, I guess technically we've met a bit. But you get my point, right? I hope we'll become even better friends in the near future!

It's been nice seeing you around these parts again, Hari. Anxiety can be really crippling, even online. I'm always open to talk about it, and that goes for anything you want to get off your chest. I still remember that Link/pizza avatar. I'm not sure I ever learned which your favourite pizza toppings are.

Indeed, I look forward to our future chats! :D

Thank you Mantis-- it's always comforting to know when friends are there. ^^

You know, this might surprise you but I'm not really much of a meat guy. Not on pizza, anyway. I mean, I like a bit of sausage, ham; bacon and chicken are nice sometimes. But nothing beats a plain old cheese pizza, you know? Stuffed crust of course!

But I am quite a big fan of Hawaiian, ham and pineapple. Though I know that one isn't for everyone... xD

Pineapple pizza is the way to go! Oh yea... *ahem* This is Kokiri! Ready to once again board the Outlaw Star and partake in the new ventures it brings. Looking forward to catching up with the old crew, and meeting the new.

Just going to say I'm really glad to be back and even happier to see some returning members. This forum has become very nostalgic for me, and was always a great place for me to unwind after classes, and work.

Sorry for the late reply to this. With all the maintenance on this old vessel, a lot of threads have sneaked by! Plain old cheese, eh? Everyone has their preferences and I understand some not liking meat as much as others (or at all), but I'd only occasionally go for just cheese. Those small Chicago Town microwaveable four-cheese pizzas are great. Stuffed crust is nice, but it's often only available from Domino's or Pizza Hut, which aren't cheap. I sometimes order a non-meat pizza so long as it has mushrooms.

Pineapple? I'll admit, I haven't tried it. I just find the idea bizarre, kinda like those who get milkshakes with Millions blended in. (If Americans don't have Millions, think of little chewy candy balls, often flavoured strawberry or bubblegum.) Chocolate bars in milkshakes, sure. Sweets? Nah! A friend from university (coincidentally called Scott) always got ham and pineapple. I should have asked for a slice.

As I said in a visitor message, it's great to have you on board again. Yeah, feels good, right? It hasn't been like this since OSUK, several years ago. I can't wait to get HangGene set up again.

Come, come, surely there's nothing to be anxious about with us? I've seen pre-school trolls with more bite than the forum goers here :P

Familiar voices on the forum are a welcome sight to the life of the place! Relax, stay a while, and enjoy the ride :D

I do find it surprising whenever I see a connoisseur of the Hawaiian pizza; stringy, sweet pineapple on cheese-laden goodness seems like it would be at a conflict of taste bud interest--I know mine were when I tried. Stuffed crust though, now there's a gooey treat!

One of these days I reckon we should all pursue a cross-platfrom (if necessary) game we can play together a few times to ease out the anxieties and build friendship! We've known one another off and on for a while now, so I don't think there would be any initial awkwardness as there would be if such a feat were attempted on a brand new forum. Wouldn't it be something if all of us had fun throwing ourselves at enemies, working together to survive? I'd certainly enjoy something of that sort.

@Mantis- You sure about HangGene? As I recall I had to hold back a few times to avoid discouraging people from playing ;)

I've discussed the game idea a few times. While Steam seems to be the most popular platform I know it doesn't cater to everybody. That said, there aren't many cross-platform games out there. More important, we should find games that don't actually cost much (if anything) to play. Team Fortress 2 is often brought up when I've talked about this. Perhaps it's a game that would be fun to play on many days, but not everybody here likes first-person shooters. (I do, but I know others don't.) In a few weeks I'll have completed the Triple Triad card set. (At about 132 cards it's no joke!) I can set up tournaments for these which will be fun, but I realise Triple Triad is only enjoyable in short bursts and we should set up a proper game night once a week, perhaps.

You certainly were a fierce HangGene competitor! Don't worry though. I'll find somebody with matching OLS knowledge... somewhere.

@Mantis: Thankfully you can buy frozen pizzas with stuffed crust, too. There's one in partciular I always buy from Tesco that includes a dip as well, as far as frozen pizza goes I haven't had better.

@Kokiri: It's awesome to see you again, Kokiri. ^^ Have you been keeping up with Breath of the Wild, by the way? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

And you guys know I'm always down for a game. Maybe we could have a thread to nominate games we want and then have a vote on it?

Maybe we could have a thread to nominate games we want and then have a vote on it?

It sounds like a plan. But first of all we need to determine...

Who has Steam
Which games we share
Who is willing to shell out a few dollars each week for cheap bundle games

Because without those steps, we'll be left with little choice and little to vote for.

So no one goes "who the hell is this Scarab guy?" I'll go ahead and note here that I've asked Mantis to change my username. Using my actual name was starting to feel a little uncomfortable (nice thing about the internet, you can be someone else entirely!) so that's it. I've never been a fan of bugs, but beetles are cool in their own way but 'Beetle' doesn't quite have the same ring to it so Scarab it is. That's right Mantis, you're not the only insectoid around here anymore! :oldmanlaugh:

You cool kids and your bug themed names.

Welcome back...

I have to ask and this may be a very stupid question, is that a real beetle under that mini bed or am I just seeing it as real because I have a fear of bugs? LOL I know people have bugs as pets and that is cool... so long as they keep them away from me. haha

Thanks guys. And yeah, it's a real beetle! His name is Spike and he has his own Twitter (https://twitter.com/spikethebeetle) where you can keep up with him. I know how you feel Korin since I'm usually terrified by insects as well, but I'd happily let Spike chill out on my arm if he wanted to. I may have mentioned this before, but I also find dung beetles to be fascinating little creatures.

It's incredible that it looks and move like something mechanical. At least he's probably easy to take care of!

Anywho, welcome back you son of a gun! It's good to have you back in these neck of the woods
