I don't know if it's just me or do I have those that feel the same way with listening to music while sleeping? I seriously find this very comforting and relaxing when I have the sound of music at the background when I am trying to have my sleep, be it during the day or at night, I don't really have an exception.

Personally, I think music have a way of penetrating ones mind and touch the soul, I know it sounds mystical but I do believe it's real and it's very effective in calming ones nerves when tenses. Music helps me maintain a good tranquility of mind and spirit.

Nothing soothes my mind like listening to music when sad or worried over something that I have no way of controlling or change. The music just helps me to forget such predicament with ease and move on with my dear life. What about you?

It's quite rare that I go to sleep without some kind of sound. This is often music but it might also be ASMR. This is relaxing audio that makes you think you are somewhere, like the sound of being at a barber's and having your hair cut, or a lady whispering into your ears. Whatever it is there is probably an "ASMR" of it. Yes, even those kinds of things. ;) (It would probably keep me awake so I never listen to that!)

In terms of music, I often listen to ambient or easy listening at night. My favourite ambient artist is William Orbit.

(Madonna collaborated with William for this.)

While I do seek this kind of music I've never found anything that beats this guy's music for a good night's sleep!

I don't know how anyone can do that. I can't sleep with music playing. I gotta have complete silence when I hit the sack. I sometimes might listen to some light music to get me in the mood but beyond that, music would just keep me awake if it was playing while I try to go to sleep.
