View Full Version : Loud Music

I was wondering what others' opinions are on this. As a few of you are aware I'm dealing with a couple of bad tenants at the moment. One of them plays very loud music and very often. While the noise is a problem (and for other tenants too) the biggest problem is that I could only describe a lot of this music as "factory-produced" since so much of it sounds similar. It's usually the same samples/beats and the same tempo. I know this is largely down to personal preference but I just don't get it. Bump-bump-bump-bump-bump-bump-bump-bump for five minutes, and then onto the next track. How is that music? I guess it is to some.

I have a friend from Scotland who I talk to every now and then. I'd say she's probably more introverted than I am, yet she sometimes goes to concerts. She says it's a bit of a struggle, but it's gotta take some courage for an extreme introvert to go to a concert, a few times a year as well. She also listens to loud music at home. I never go to concerts. While I do want to see a few celebrities at some point in the future I just couldn't enjoy a concert. To most people this is weird. I don't enjoy live versions of music, only album versions. Listening to quiet music almost all the time is apparently also weird. I just like to sit back and mellow out to my music, at just the right volume for every note to tickle my ears. :oldmanlaugh:

I pretty much never come across another person who also listens to quiet music the majority of the time. So to those here who listen to music loudly, why do you choose to listen to it at high volumes? Same question to those (if there's anyone else) here who listen to music quietly.

I listen to music pretty loud, but I only ever listen to it via headphones/earbuds so I don't disturb anyone.

If I listen to music loud, it is when I am cleaning or something and moving around a lot in the house. I also don't do this when I know other people are around and it can bother them. I feel like those people that live by you are being very inconsiderate.
