I never saw the need in keeping a journal.
I guess I'll start now.
If I wanted to talk about anything specific and seek advice for it, would I talk about it here I wonder?

Sure, why not? They're journals, but others are welcome to reply. (So long as it isn't something malicious.)

I've made no progress on the novel I am trying to write this week.
My motivation has gone down the drain to do anything.
my main problem being would be where would i post it if I would like others to read it.
would it be better to put it up for free or would it be okay if I charged for it?

That's a good question and I can relate. In your shoes I'd probably choose to dip my toes into that at first. (Er, after taking off those shoes.) Writing is quite the venture so maybe you should collect some feedback before taking it more seriously? My two cents. I believe there are writer communities out there. I'd like to say that I'd read your work but I know I made that promise in the past and I never got round to reading one or two other members' fiction.

Having said that, feel free to post anything you write at Starwind & Hawking, and on the off-chance I can give it a read I'll provide feedback and constructive criticism. Maybe others would do the same, even if the community isn't very active lately. Good luck with it.

I've tried to become more productive in order to keep me from staying in bed all day. so far nothing is working.

I've talked about it with a friend of mine and he told me to make a set of rules to keep my world in check and from falling out into inconsistent nonsense, and maybe insert my big scene in the beginning to make people want to read what I have to offer; which is something I didn't want to do as I feel it has become cliche
He also told me to keep my prologue short as it being to long would make people uninterested.

I have seen to have not kept up with my promise of wanting to start a jounral.
I've been having a difficult time looking for job this past week. One place send that they would give me a call within two weeks. One week has past.
Didn't make any progress on my writings or even playing games.
Sleeping is I feel like doing.

Quite ironically, I find that getting twelve hours of sleep can make me rather groggy. How many hours do you get?

I'm pretty sure that's known as "sleep poisoning". Not sure if there's any scientific backing to it but I experience the same thing.

I'd be lucky if I get three hours of sleep any given day.
I was a mess for all of last year basically.
I geuss now that I'm not working, all I want to is stay in bed.
I find myself sleeping in three hour intervals from what I've tried recalling from the latter half of last month

I have a similar sleep schedule but with a job and it feels awful. I'm the king of coffee drinkers at work.

It was painful for me while I was working last year.
I'm religious so I can't drink coffee
Coffee actually works as a laxative for me so that's the only time I'll drink it

What is something to do to keep the motivation going when trying to do something?
I'm having a harder and harder time to keep on writing
I've been writing the novel for close to two years now and have only gotten to twenty pages

Very cool, I just replayed it late last year with a friend who had never seen FFVII before. When you get to VIII, why don't you come chat in my FFVIII thread as you go through?
