Hey! :)

Haven't been on this forum in quite a while, but figured since I'm NEETing it up right now, I may as well start one of these :D . Don't care if no one reads, this is just for fun. Not sure what to write yet, but I'll figure it out as I go. May as well ramble about my life philosophy for a bit.

I've always had a laid-back attitude towards life, and not much drive to achieve anything. I'm a basic dude, give me some anime/games and food and I'm a happy fellow-- always been like that since I was a kid. No aspiration for a career, women, etc. Some may call it lazy, but is it inherently wrong? Absolutely not, I'm not stopping you from doing your thing. To me, there's nothing better than kicking back and firing up a really good show. It's like... I get to have an adventure and see cool things all from the comfort of my room :P . Sometimes, I wonder if I'm wasting my youth, but at the same time I think "if I had a blast, was it really wasted at all?". Some of my favourite memories of anime/games are just as meaningful to me as my real life memories, it's not like they're invalid just because they're fiction.

I guess what I'm saying is we all just put values on different things. Don't worry about the other guys, and don't try to achieve something just because your parents or society tell you to value it. You can be content even with the simplest kind of life, you know? Just kick back and take it easy, enjoy what you enjoy. :D

Anyway I'm really tired as I'm writing this, so this might not make sense or I forgot something I wanted to say, but fuck it. Going sleep. Later!

I used to see things in a sort of similar way back when I was in highschool, but I somewhat grew out of it. It's akin to the old phrase "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink". Who's to say what makes you happy, what your goals should be, or what you should do with your time? Assuming that you're working or otherwise providing for yourself 100%, then nobody else should get a vote. There is nothing wrong with finding enjoyment in something others find dull or wasteful, provided that you aren't hurting anyone or causing a drain on someone else's finances to act that way.

A few folks around this forum know me as somebody who refuses to get with the times as well, since I primarily enjoy older video games/anime as my preferred relaxation method. I think everyone has a few things that they're a stick-in-the-mud about.

Welcome back to the forum, by the way. It's nice to see some new activity around here.
