You know, when you could listen to a song on repeat you love it so much, then you don't listen to it for months/years and when you do, your heart bleeds with love. I think they're the kinda songs that stay with you a bit forever, even when it's just some cheesy crap you know you're embarrased to like!

So go!

I'm gonna post mine because it's chillin'. Mantis you should chill out to this you stresspot!

Me, ME, a stresspot?! I don't know what you're smoking Katey! :D I'm chill. Honestly though, the music was okay but it didn't have enough rhythm for me. If I'm going to listen to music to chill out to, it would be something like...

http://www.lithiumsoftware.net/music/fragamosia.mp3

Yeah, it's on one of my secondary servers. You'll need to download it I'm afraid as it's not on YouTube. Brilliant music though. As for music I listen to a lot recently, one that I keep seeming to play is the opening music from an anime OVA that I really enjoyed: Starship Troopers. It's a nice song. It's very retro though.

Pffft! Each to their own. Masaka liked it. Two versus one, lady! On that note, I liked Masaka's one a lot. :) I don't listen to classical all too often, but this one's very pleasant. I could definitely fall asleep to it. Though not too similar, it makes me want to post this one, which I also listen to fairly often:

Oh? The new Fullmetal Alchemist? I'm waiting for the English dub is completed before watching it as I enjoyed the original's English dub. I liked a lot of the FMA opening songs and this one sounds good. As for the Cowboy Bebop song, nice. :D

Now for something extremely geeky that I keep coming back to. I'm probably the only one who will understand many of the terms in this. Great music, though, even if I don't normally listen to rap. XD

I understood about 70% of those terms :D Pretty awesome song. Out of the two FMA's I enjoyed brotherhood. I just found the first one way to gloomy, I did still like it though. Brotherhood is just an all around amazing series for FMA, funny, gots the action. Some people are divided between the two and don't like brotherhood. You'll just have to decide that for yourself XD

Masaka
25th January 2011, 03:14 AM
There's no shame with Bebop! Cowboy Bebop is like the Anten 7 of anime soundtracks!

Also you may or may not already know this but there's a whole world of Bebop parodies for the opening song and since I know there's some evangelion fans on this forum I thought I'd revive this video if you haven't already seen it.

Katey: That wasn't half-bad actually. It's not the kind of thing I'd typically listen to. However, I much prefer (usually) music that's just instrumental, rather than vocals. I might be willing to give this kind of music a try.

Masaka: Brilliant stuff, I love that song. I'm obsessed with the whole Outlaw Star soundtrack. In fact, probably before the second half of 2011 has begun, I hope to have a secret project related to the soundtrack ready to unveil. :D Wow, that Evangelion/Bebop video was awesome. Great editing. :D I think the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack is pretty good, but not entirely my style. I do need to *cough* download it *cough* it at some point though.

Sorry, music industry, I'm just a poor student, who admittedly spends his money on expensive gadgets.

FLAC format I assume? My favourite. I assume this anime is about high school students who have a great laugh and find guns that they have battles against an evil force with? That's just me being a presumptuous bastard though. XD

Also, I love this song:

Haha, the show is actually the second season of darker than black. Its about these people called contractors whom have special powers and there is a special force out there to rid of them. A show worth checking out. The second season is not as good as the first though.. :\

Oddly enough, I've actually played very little of Doom 64; I only started listening to this because it's part of a custom soundtrack for the PC original. The visuals in Doom 64 are too distracting in my opinion, due to them looking too much like lumps of shiny plasticine...

I like the music video for the second one. Here's a song I recently discovered. Not exactly the most conventional thing for most guys of my age to listen to, but hey, I'm pretty open when it comes to music.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4VMeZF9mcg

It reminds me of how I want to explore the world more, and how I should get a part-time job and save up over summer. There's so much to discover out there. I'd love to leave Europe, and without sounding like a hippie, enjoy some of the most amazing natural sights there are to see in the world. Sometimes I get truly sick of living in grey, industrial areas.

The song you posted is like easy listening. Makes you feel relaxed. Not bad at all!

Update: I went to the Coheed and Cambria concert I mentioned in a topic somewhere else on the 30th of April. They played their entire first album (It was the tenth anniversary of them as a band) and played some acoustic in the beginning. Anyway, long story short, amazing show and this song of theirs in the acoustic part of it has been in my friggin' head for the past few days.

It's called "Iron Fist" and it's actually their new song 'supposedly' from the album currently in the works.

My only advice is to do some grinding or work on your characters. There must be something wrong if you're failing this much. Not that grinding should be necessary. I didn't do any of that until later on in the game, past the main story.

While the untrained ear will listen to this song and classify it as "Techno", it's actually a style known as Makina. It's similar to UK Hardcore, in that it is uptempo, but has a lot of Trance elements. I don't listen to this music a lot, but there are a dozen or so tunes, including this one that have just had me completely sold.

Listening to "The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Medley." Some pretty powerful and beautiful stuff. Its from The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony soundtrack and I have to say its a must get. So many well done pieces.

I'm listening to a song about electrocuting someone with blood.

Funnily enough, the name is relevant.

Loved that song since I heard it in Donkey Konga. :) More partial to the original myself, but it's cool.

Another beat, but not just any beat. I like this one. I mean, I REALLY like this one, for numerous reasons.

1) It fits my rapping style. I can just feel the lyrics coming at me as I hear the beat.
2) It's very similar to my production style. it even sounds like a couple of beats I've made. The similarity being the melody and the type of instrument used for it.
3) The title fits in with my current project, which happens to be about space.

All in all, I think I was destined to find and use this beat. I was considering posting it in my own music thread, but barely anyone checks that out anymore.

Thanks Dark Better, another song I love listening to while driving and relaxing is this one.

Makes me feel like driving down a country road with either the sunrise or sunset occurring. Cliche I know, but it does make me feel good and at peace whenever I hear this song.

One of the only country-like songs you'll ever catch me listening to. Its from "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and its a pretty good film.

Dark, your link is dead.

By dead I mean it doesn't work at all.

Sabaton, Panzer Battalion. Band usually base their songs off of things such as WW2 or other major conflicts.

Don't think I ever posted this guy before, but he's basically my biggest inspiration when it comes to making beats. His beats are just so genuine, and there's a weird sort of humbleness to them. I just feel very passionate about how these beats don't sound "Perfect". They don't sound like they were made in a fancy studio, while being watched over by rich guys in suits. They have soul, for a definite lack of a better word.

Its the ending theme for Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team. I ended up listening to this song a lot since I watched the whole series yesterday haha. A very catchy and upbeat song. Though kind of repetitive.

Really use to love Linkin Park till there Minutes to Midnight CD killed them. I mean they might have brought in new people but i think they lost alot of there old fans to going to soft rock for them.

Favorite is this song. Seen LP 3 times in Concert.

Technically I'm not 'listening' to it as such, but I'm hearing it in the background while I mess around on Invisible Enemy mode.

As expected, I'm a bit shit at dodging/shooting things I can't see. Doesn't help that I haven't played this game in at least a year either.
