Well, the Oscars are fast approaching so place your bets!
What do you think is going to win what?

Being a film major and having plenty of film fanatic friends, we talk about this quite a bit.
My money is on:

The King's Speech for Best Picture
Colin Firth for Best Actor

Christian Bale (The Fighter) for Best Supporting Actor
Melissa Leo for Best Supporting Actress

Natalie Portman (Black Swan) for Best Actress

What do y'all think?

I can see The King's Speech bagging a few awards. Other than that, can't say I've been paying any attention, sadly.

It happens.
Were you able to check out Black Swan though?
It was intense. o_O

Honestly, I haven't really seen much at all over the past year. :S I used to go to the cinema all the time, but films have seemed to degrade in quality more and more as the years have gone by.

Fred: The Movie, anyone?

I'll try and check out a couple of those mentions.

Oh-hoho friend, crap has, and will always be.
Old movies are always idolized.

But fear not! 8)
There's always a gem hidden in the muck.

In Fred's case I think it's just 10 varieties of ****.

Natalie Portman (Black Swan) for Best Actress

I think you're right there

She definitely has a shot.

Btw, I like the new avatar Katey.
Excellent choice.

Thanks! I've not seen Black Swan yet as it has a later release date here in UK. It's so highly rated on IMDB! Also I love ballet anyways so I can't wait.

Uhhh heh heh, It-it's not really about ballet. o_O

Be fore warned, go in with your boots on.

To be honest, I could tell that. I love 'fucked up' movies!

25th January 2011, 03:56 AM
Indeed you are wise Lady Katey. 8)

Yeah, it piqued my curiosity until I saw the word ballet. Hah. I have no idea of what it's about but you've said it's good. However, for some reason when I read ballet, this came to mind...

(A little off-topic I know.)
