    ASuh

Managed to find this place thanks to Mantis' comment on the Super Eyepatch Wolf video about Outlaw Star. Not only do I find out there's more than just 2 chapters to the manga, but a translation for 3.5 volumes as well as light novels.

I've also been reminded to finally watch Angel Links.

Tbh I joined here mostly to stay up to date on the manga translation whenever it gets released, but hopefully I'll find some other cool stuff here. No joke I'd drop $50 on those volumes if they were in English.

This forum format reminds me of the pre-facebook days as well. Oddly appropriate for a Toonami/Adult Swim era anime.

Hello there Tikigod784 and welcome to Outlaw Star Nexus!

That was a decent video. Yeah, the manga isn't long but it isn't super-short either. It's just unfortunate that it didn't get an English release. SIX language releases but not English and the Outlaw Star anime was the most commercially successful in the USA! It's madness and a real shame that all this time later, few fans know much about the manga. Hopefully we can change that at least slightly.

I feel it's necessary to say that you shouldn't watch Angel Links with high expectations. It is usually seen as a letdown across the fanbase, but hey, maybe it'd be a pleasant surprise if you end up enjoying it.

I wanted to accomplish a lot for Outlaw Star in 2020 but the whole year has gone tits-up so far. However, I do believe the worst is over and I look forward to what's to come. The two projects the public will see soonest are the audio drama translation and the lore-packed SW book translation. Both are nearing completion.

I'm glad you noticed that about the forum. While the design is more modern than early-2000s forums, I dislike how squeaky-clean more recent forums are.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy your stay.

Hi Tiki, welcome to OSN. I see that Mantis has already given you a quick rundown of what's going on here so I'll keep my intro brief. I'm the other member of site staff here, and the other Active member working on manga/Light Novel/etc. translations. You're in the right place if you want to keep up with those projects, but we encourage you to jump in on a few conversations here to help pass the time while you wait!

As for the forum aesthetic, I believe it is/was intentional as Mantis said above. Just one of the many reasons I come back day after day.
