    England riots

Heard about the riots in England on the news, it looks pretty bad. Are our UK members okay?

    RE: England riots

I was going to make a thread about this. It is however a thread for Blue Heaven, so I shall move it. I'm a single bus ride away from one of the riots, but I'm fine here. All I hear lately is for the most part bad news, so I seldom flick on a news channel to enjoy seeing some chav give his reasons for robbing the pound shop.

It's all a joke. The lowest of the low wanted a reason to unleash their anger and loot what remains of any business they can destroy. They got their reason—a criminal who was a threat and thus was shot. The police can't do a thing without being politically incorrect nowadays.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

    RE: England riots

The reports I've heard have been eerily nonchalant about all this.
Which makes me think that either these riots are not too serious.
Or that US news networks don't really care too much.
Which would just be mean. :S

Anyway, maybe you should join in Mantis.
Would be an interesting life experience. 8)

    RE: England riots

The latter then. It's pretty serious. Obviously not to the scale of Norway or anything, but businesses that have been around for many decades (in some cases, way over a century) are now burned to the ground and many of this country's citizens are showing their true barbaric nature. If I joined in, I'd be giving them a piece of my mind. And if you want this forum to remain online, I don't think that's such a good idea.

Good to know our members are safe! I also know a few friends in other area that are thankfully safe.

IMO every Chav should be either deported to a dangerous country where it's no-holds barred against destruction of property or somewhere where they'll get hunted and eaten. Unforgivable BS they've done to both british society and their economy.
The hilarity of the Chat Room:
(01:14:54) Somasol: also, don't forget to hit the logout button. sometimes you'll see people in chat but they'll disappear the instant you enter.
(01:15:32) Somasol: you'll be going "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU?UUUUUUUUU" when that happens. XD
    (01:15:46) Somasol: anyway, g'night!

    RE: England riots

I actually wasn't sure where to put this topic, but since I was just asking about whether or not our UK members are safe, I figured it could go in Clyde's Bar. I won't complain about the move though, since this opens up debate and it's not like I got banned or anything.

BoS hasn't posted here, but since he's posted in other topics we can probably assume nothing terrible happened to him.

What's the situation over there now, anyway? From what I can gather on the news, things seem to have calmed down, since the news doesn't seem to be reporting them spreading anymore, but at the same time I heard Parliament is holding some kind of emergency session.

    RE: England riots

I haven't posted anything here because any continued thought of the events sends me into a blind rage. The shits responsible need hunting down and gutting.
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

    RE: England riots

Oh riots didn't hit Norfolk at all. Presumably because it's a b*tch to get to with it's lack of infrastructure. And that we don't actually have much to break... It would be a case of cow tipping

Though we don't have cows either. It would have to be pig tipping, cause that's all the animals we do here.

On riotous subject, what do people think should actually happen to the tw*ts that were responsible? Do you agree with taking away benefits etc?

I do, you don't give pieces of sh*t money.
You're asking for historical accuracy in a series where men weilding three swords in each hand, pirates surfing across land on giant anchors, horses with motocycle parts attached and feudal-era Power Rangers are the norm?
