Hey my dudes and dudettes,
The one year anniversary of the KyoAni fire is coming up next month.
What were some your experiences upon learning about this incident occurring?
I'll go:
I recall seeing some posts online on Facebook and checked YouTube and saw the reporting from Japanese based news agencies.
I was 100% shocked and surprised by fire and learning that the fire was the largest since WW2.
I went to the Houston based company Sentai Filmworks company online GoFundMe and donated towards the victims and their families.
I hope that the families get closure and the full weight of the rule of law is brought on the perpetrator.
(One thing I wish would change is this: I noticed that financial group that processed the donated funds took north of $89,539USD in transactional fee processing payment from the Houston based Sentai Filmwork company to KyoAni on GoFundMe. That money could have gone a victims family. If GoFundMe, of the transactional fee processing was waived or reduced, would have been welcomed).
