Harry Dunn killed by US diplomat's wife

I guess I'm probably not the only one who's followed this. On the 27th of August young biker called Harry Dunn was killed in a crash by a US diplomat's wife, Anne Sarcoolas. She was driving on the wrong side of the road. Apparently, she was told to get out of the UK immediately so she flew back to the United States. It was said that she had diplomatic immunity due to her husband being a diplomat. This right is given to a lot of diplomats visiting various countries.

It turns out that it's possible her diplomat husband hadn't completed the process to gain diplomatic immunity, thus meaning she may not have had this right in the first place. I find the fact a diplomat (or one's spouse)—in other words a peacemaker—is easily able to get away with manslaughter or even murder to be somewhat ironic. Anne was asked to return to the UK and face necessary justice. This request was also sent to the White House.

Without her immunity in place, she most certainly broke British law. In my opinion she should be prosecuted and be jailed for at least two years which is the usual minimum for manslaughter. That can often be up to ten years. Either way, diplomatic immunity should not excuse crimes of this magnitude. Because of her status she has indeed been able to get away with taking Harry's life. Donald Trump also refused to send her back. That, simply, is the world we live in today.

    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

If you kill a life, be it on accident or on purpose, you should be held accountable in some way. Her neglect of road laws, be it out of ignorance or accident, is on her and she will have to live with this blood on her hands now.

I personally believe you should not be allowed to drive in other countries unless you are fully licensed there and ensured to understand every single law and regulation on the road. There shouldn't be immunity for anyone for cases like this. I don't care who you know, who you are married to, or how much money you have.

This is the reality of this world though.

I don't care who she's married to, she shouldn't be above the law. I didn't realize that you can get a free pass to negligently kill people due to a relative's job title. I'm surprised that this loophole isn't used more often for assassinations. Maybe it is?

I am going to guess it is, we just don't hear about it. People with power will swing it around like they have the biggest junk in the room. It is sad too because very few even show remorse for things like this. It isn't fair but it happens everywhere.
