India's Ban Hammer on Mobile Apps

You can watch the video for a complete list of everything they have banned so far. A few of the big names that stand out from the rest include Tinder, Reddit, and yes, Facebook. They are straight-up banning large apps left and right.

I think Muta is right in the video. They are doing what China is doing. They want to have their own localized apps that can become popular and be used around the world for their own data farming. It is insane to think these are the times we live in. Everyone is focused on the virus too so a lot of this is flying under the radar.

What are your thoughts on this?

It's about time somebody stood up to this crap. More power to India for it. It's cool to have Muta (a.k.a. SomeOrdinaryGamers for those not in the know) to bring this kind of news. It doesn't just go for this. Generally speaking the west never gives a fuck about what goes on in the east unless they're involved, lol.

I wouldn't even say everyone's focused on the virus. On the contrary people have largely stopped caring about the virus which is obviously a global matter that affects everyone. It's all BLM this, BLM that at the moment. I think most people are actually sick of it. The true irony is that these more recent events will probably boost Trump's odds this year, but that's neither here nor there I guess.

As for my view on the apps that have been banned, little of value was lost.

Kayne West running for presidency pretty much solidified Trump winning and at this point, knowing he is going to win now allows me time to prepare for the second 2016 sh*twave of nutjobs freaking out like the world is ending and getting violent over it. *sigh*

In my general area, people are still in panic mode and yelling at each to put masks on. Starting today, if you are out in public without a mask you will get a fine.

And yeah, I am glad to see someone banning these apps. They are toxic anyways.

I think i heard about India banning foreign apps (from China) bc of the border skirmishes.

It started with China but then expanded to the US and a lot of US companies are getting butthurt over it. They thought it was funny when it was happening to Chinese apps though. Go figure.
