Is mainstream medicine built on keeping us sick?

I have wondered this for a long time. It seems the medication they give out only covers up symptoms, it doesn't actually help heal the problem. Very few doctors will even speak on exercise or proper nutrition either. They just examine you, hand you a prescription for pills, and send you on your way. In the US the average 40+ person is on 2 or more medications. The numbers grow with the age groups.

I mean if they really did help us heal, teach us proper nutrition, and we were sick less often... that would mean less money for them so it really makes one think.

I know this is a bit "tin hatty" but I never fully trusted mainstream medicine.

Sometimes I think this may be the case but at the same time I find it really hard to believe, you know?

I think this is partially true, and partially false. I'm no fan of conspiracy theories, but I think that pharmaceutical companies and corporations are more concerned about money than treatments. Of course, I know that people will sometimes use this as a means of selling their own brand of snake oil. I worked at a "holistic dental boutique" during the summer of 2016, and the whole place--aside from making you feel like you've stepped back into the 90s--is full of stuff regarding how toxic fluoride is, how the mercury in vaccines causes autism (yes, they really believed that), and other things that I regard as nonsense. It was basically alternative medicine claptrap.

There are some sugar pills that only works because of the placebo effect, like a lot of pain killers.

    1) No.
    2) "Very few doctors will even speak on exercise or proper nutrition either" Then very few of your doctors are competent.
    3) "They just examine you, hand you a prescription for pills, and send you on your way" Even here in France, where many pills are covered at least partially by social security, it's way more complicated than that.
    4) "The numbers grow with the age groups."

    5) "I mean if they really did help us heal, teach us proper nutrition, and we were sick less often... that would mean less money for them so it really makes one think." Even i, who's misanthropic, pessimistic and has a notion of economic interestds in the health world, i'm not that paranoid.

    6) But then again i'm in France, one of the most butthurt countries about health security in the EU which is already full of restrictions.
Also our doctors spend a minnimum of 8 years at university (for general practitioner, up to 10 for specialists) + specialisation (for specialists, and with an additionnal formation for general practitionner), such a rough route that we suffer a doctors withdrawal that's light in cities and dire in deep countryside (aka medical desertification).

    7) You're in the US after all, anything is possible, even if unimaginable.

Excuse me if i'm a bit Blunt.

My take on it is that in my country there's a lot of good doctors but the medical system here is reeking with malpractice dictated by big pharmaceutical companies and expensive private hospitals. They gauge clients / patients by how thick their wallets are. If you're capable of paying then an easy sickness to cure can become a serious one because they would let it worsen to get you confined and then they'll cure you. That's why our present government mandated that all government owned hospitals will now treat patients for free. And now our government is pushing that even private hospitals should be subsidized by the government. Although a lot of doctors and hospitals are against it.

They created a system to enslave people by turning them into fiends, I'm surprised people are still taking pills. I haven't been to a hospital since 2010 and that is because these doctors will make up diseases so that they can get an opportunity to poison your body to make you dependent on drugs.

I see kids left and right popping prescription pills like it's candy for conditions that I've never heard of in my life. The worst part is that they are not going to stop. Remember, if they start saying that you have ADHD, ODD or some other made up condition, just get out of there as fast as you can!
