Do you think people like Jeff Bezos have too much power?

The man's net worth is insane and the fact that Amazon is responsible for businesses both on and offline going out of business is scary. Amazon also continues to eat up the competition by buying them outright. I feel like everything Jeff has done to get to where he is, is rather sketchy. The man used all the evil marketing tricks to become what I last checked him to be, the wealthiest man in the world with his ex-wife (LOL) being the wealthiest woman. The irony of that.

Do you think people like him, business owners who are getting this much wealth and control should be better regulated?

    I reckon so.

At first glance, Bezos is a modern self made man.

But at the same time his business, Amazon, has:

    - Received $$ from the CIA
The Details About the CIA's Deal With Amazon - The Atlantic

    - Bezos owns the Washington Post
Billionaires are buying media companies, New York Times not for sale

    - Bezos brought the Washington Post in 2013
Why Jeff Bezos Bought The Washington Post

    - Washington Post 2016 November US Presidential Election Prediction
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...inton-victory/

    - Bezos has a net worth of $180 Billion dollars
Jeff Bezos' Net Worth Hits All-Time High Of More Than $180 Billion

I wouldn't be surprised if Bezos has his hands in other things.

Well, he is divorced so we know he had his hands in other women. lol Was that in poor taste?

I had no idea he owned Washington Post. That is interesting. I wonder why he would buy that place.

I just got around to checking in on this thread and it's a bit ironic that I do today because I was on a conference call with some Amazon representatives this morning. I work for a small business consultancy and Amazon is starting to provide free education & training courses for small businesses. It sounds nice on the surface, but in essence they are trying to cozy up to small businesses so they will sell via Amazon as well. Local stores will have nobody to turn to once the Amish are on amazon as well
