Thread: Pornhub Removed Millions of Videos

If you aren't up to speed on everything, a lot of videos and accusations came to light with underaged girls being abused on the platform in videos as well as women complaining that their videos ended up on the platform but they never consented to it. In order to combat everything, they have deleted all videos that are not from verified creators on the platform. Their videos dropped from nearly 14 million to under 3 million as of today.

I am actually happy they did something about this. There were too many accounts where girls were trying to fight to get videos removed, even when they said the video in question was from when they were under 18 years old and they never consented to it. I feel like any kind of hosting platform within the porn industry needs to have WAY better application and identification processes to ensure this kind of stuff doesn't happen.

I'm glad that they are cracking down on CP. What I'm not glad about is that Visa and MasterCard have pulled their cards from being used on PornHub. It could turn into another multinational corporate cartel strongarming a site into doing what they want, just like Apple strongarmed Tumblr into removing all of its NSFW content.

I was a little upset when apple did it to them like that, I followed a few good artists that deleted everything bc of a boob or two.

There were talks about a bitcoin spike happening because other cards backed away too. Like this is something that can lead to people going to much worse places as well which are completely unregulated. I hope for the sake of everyone, things get sorted out. I am happy women on the platform will be better protected though.

Yeah... porn is bad. I had a huge thing back in high school and am glad I stopped.

Porn in my own opinion is bad and can ruin relationships.

I am glad you said fly and not spider because using nukes against spiders is completely acceptable in my book. One spider, get the shotgun. Two spiders, the flamethrower. Three or more, burn the house down. But four? NUKE EVERYTHING!

In all seriousness, I don't get the industry, never been into porn myself. I am not very keen on it seeing how damaging the industry can be for women and men but I feel like had they taken things seriously months or even years ago and actually listened, looked out for signs, and screened people properly, they could have avoided this whole thing.

Key word is "can". If anything you're doing ruins relationships, then it's bad.

Usually, when it ruins relationships, it is because both people are not on the same page. You can say this with drinking, religion, and even politics. I for one am not keen on porn so I can't date people who are, or who enjoy it. I tried twice in the past and it broke my trust with them completely. My husband doesn't watch it, never cared for it so for us we are on the same page with it. Neither of us watches it and neither of us wants to.
