    Censored Blu-ray

I don't have a lot of time right now, but I'm pleased to say that I have all of Outlaw Star censored. I've been using new software to work with the audio. For bad VHS quality I'm happy with this censored line (attached) I got from the first episode. (Ignore any white noise at the end. It'll be ironed out. Almost literally.)

Trivia time: Do you know the uncensored version of this line?

I also did this mock-up some months ago of what this project may eventually look like. For now I'm just focusing on preliminary audio steps before visuals!

Toonami without the [adult swim] logo.
The nostalgia, it hurts, Mantis. Don't do this to me, man! Lol.

But on subject, that's awesome, man! Great work so far!!

IIRC it was sleazeball. Why would "sleazeball" be censored though?

    Mysteries of life.
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

Heh, that reminds me. This has been bugging me. I still haven't decided whether I'll go with the Cartoon Network logo, the Adult Swim logo, or no logo at all.

Objectively no logo is the best option, but I think Cartoon Network is most nostalgic and goes well alongside the audio and visual censorship. Opinions needed.

It makes more sense when you consider that the grabby part was cut entirely.

The project is a failure if you don't replace the OP with this.

    I'm 16 again.

Aw fuck, the video ended and I'm back to being 32.

I've spent a few hours recreating the title cards in HD. As much as I'd like to sperg out and produce perfect replicas, I think "more or less the same" is good enough. I think it's nearly perfection with the first episode.

It needed a lot of touching up. It seems that Cartoon Network took a somewhat obscure font and applied changes (which have mostly been imitated), but they couldn't just keep it simple and only changing the font size between episodes. Oh no, in so many episodes, there are often different spacing between letters, sometimes different widths. Overall it's a pain in the ass.

If you like teasers, well, this is a part of the project I'm really anticipating.

The first time censored and I welcome the challenge. Oh yeah, I attached the title cards font because why not?

Imo, it's gotta be the CN logo (yes, I know someone is gonna tell me that AS is technically a part of CN, but OLS wasn't on AS at the time so I'm talking about the CN block you used in the mock-up!). I know it may be hard to imagine but this is probably the way a lot of us first watched it, and replacing the logo such as using the AS one would defeat the purpose of reviving a piece of classic Toonami history. This particular run of the show is the whole reason I'm here on the forum right now, so this is pretty exciting, although I've come to hold the uncut version in higher regard overall. I'm a purist in almost everything I do, but i'm prolifically nostalgic as well! My vote goes for the CN logo + Starwind's advice to use the Toonami Intro!!! Also, don't forget to use the Toonami Promo somehow!
