Thread: How is 2019 treating you?

We are just about 1 week into the new year, anything looking up for you yet?

I feel like the year didn't even change yet. I guess this is because I was completely oblivious to the actual new year coming in. I wasn't even watching the clock or anything like I normally do. I still find myself thinking it is 2018 as well.

I feel like the year hasn't changed for the first few weeks every year! Stuff hasn't been too bad (or good) yet. Just busy with work because I didn't get much time off from work (i'm too new to have many vacation days saved up) and my wife has been a royal pain in the ass, but overall we are healthy and happy.

Well, insomnia has come back to mess with my life. I accidentally broke my gaming headset and have to resort to a cheap one that I have lying around. Have to wait until tomorrow before my new one comes in the mail.

Beyond that, I'm doing swimmingly. I got an anime con coming up in the next two months. I got the time off approved for it.

Not too shabby... shabbily? Better than my sister anyhow who broke one of her legs in three places and is having an operation which will involve (if I remember right) a big metal plate, a huge nail in her ankle and several months of very limited mobility... which is difficult for most of the family too as she has young kids! On a positive note I have some good news, but I'm not going to jinx it this time.

I'd say overall it's been okay. I'm gonna have to put some time into the forum's maintenance very soon since activity's seriously dipping lately, which kinda sucks as the crew and I am making some nice progress on the manga lately, which is also another good thing about 2019. On the manga front I'm confident it's starting with a bang. Not a big bang (don't you dare Zem) but a decently-sized bang.

It's absolutely approved when you consider how spectacularly New Year's treated Ninja.

Well the year started and all of a sudden my lecturers who previously stated our groups would be randomized told us that they have decided to let us form our own teams for Game Development and now I'm in a dream team so that's a massive amount of stress gone from my life right now.

I couldn't help but laugh when I heard about Ninja and the crowd no selling his floss dance. Hopefully that "dance" can just stay in 2018. I never understood it but I also never played Fornite nor have any interest in it.
