Just some stupid thing I considered earlier tonight.
I have a neighbour who had a sneezing fit a few hours back. It was kind of weird because he always did this cartoony "AH-CHOO!", the classic phonetic sneeze. When I thought about it though, I don't know many people who make the sound. I heard once that people from different countries sneeze differently. Does what a sneeze is supposed to sound like influence us so much?
When I sneeze I don't make that sound. My neighbour's "ah" was really long and loud, but I keep it quiet and much shorter. Perhaps those who are better at holding in a sneeze tend to make less noise when they do sneeze. There are some people who just sneeze without any restraint or consideration for those around. I know some people think it's nasty but I sneeze into my elbow. I wish more people did that, especially with what's going on now.
