    Amazon warehouses are breeding!

I don't know if this is the case where any of you currently live, but I see more and more Amazon warehouses popping up. There are two new ones within 20 minutes of where I live that is going to be set up, I think one is already in the works to be operating by September. It is nuts to see this happening. It reminds me of when Walmart took off and you saw them all over the place. The South Park episode about that store was hilarious though. It makes me wonder how much control Amazon will have in the future when it comes to shopping. It seems like they already have too large of monopoly as it is.

That hasn't really happened here yet. There's only one warehouse close to me and that isn't even smack-bang in the middle of Manchester, one of our major cities. I guess it was bound to happen in the USA with the huge surge in online shopping due to COVID-19.

Most of the people I notice being critical of Amazon are socialists who scavenge for every horror story they can find that "exposes" Amazon's alleged poor working conditions and so forth. I'm sure plenty of the controversy is true, but while they type up a storm on their MacBook Pros they should consider the shadier sides of Apple, or practically every significant corporation in the world. Monopolies are gonna monopolise and it obviously ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's the way the world goes round and these Starbucks-sipping whiners need to suck it up.

Amazon's great. I'd be glad to see more and more warehouses in the UK. The supermarket monopoly is a rather mundane topic to me. At the end of the day it's just a place you get food and drinks from. Nothing too fancy. Amazon has revolutionised the way we do so many things, in most cases for the better in my opinion. The world would be so different right now if it wasn't for what started as a simple online bookstore.

I'll have you know I have it on good authority that Amazon has innovated on yet another of their technologies and created sentient warehouses. So far it's a success but workers are actively trained to stay alert for any warning signs of an imminent spontaneous combustion or PMS.

Small businesses were ordered to cease operations while Amazon was allowed to opreate and rake in a profit, I think this was inevitable. I've been working at one for the past 2 years and there are more warehouses and distribution centres popping up across the nation

    Amazon is essential.

    Smaller competitors are not.

This virus really helped consolidate businesses.

I feel like they will eventually have to force Amazon to break up the businesses so it isn't so large. It is overpowering a lot of smaller businesses big time. Heck, you can see this around the holiday season. The virus just made it all the more obvious.

I feel sorry for the poor saps that are stuck working in such a high-volume warehouse like that. There's a strong reason why the turnover rate is monstrous.
