Question Do you use your computer, gaming console, or other devices from bed?

It seems like a lot of people enjoy using their devices from the comfort of their beds. Do you? Do you then have trouble sleeping later?

I don't like staying in bed, personally. It's not really that comfortable for me, other than for sleeping, and it just doesn't feel right for me to be in bed all day. I'd rather be up and about, or at my desk or on the couch, or being outside.

Do you spend a lot of time in your bed?

I do. Most of the time when I'm not yet sleepy I use my phone in bed. I don't stay in bed too long either, well as much as I would like to, I can't because I have tons of things to do. I have to work and do household chores all day so I really don't have any time to waste, although I love to lay down and relax especially during the rainy season.

I do use my phone in bed when I wake up and check on things or before I go to sleep. But for laptops, I really do not like using them while I'm on a bed. I guess I don't find it comfortable since I am used to using laptops sitting up straight which I can't do while on my bed.

Do a lot more in my bed due to the fact I have an adjustable base with a new comfort mattress and a second monitor on a articulating swing arm next to my bed. So I can watch TV or a movie while surfing the web. The land of laziness my bedroom has become.

Wow, @Lord-Idolo that is some set up you have there. How do you get anything done? lol

I've always wanted an adjustable bed. Maybe I shouldn't get one after all. I might be tempted to set myself up the same way. I'd never get any work turned in, but I'd sure be up to date on games, shows, movies, news, and everything else!

I don't really use any devices such as my laptop or gaming devices in bed but I do use my mobile phone in bed. And I mainly use my phone to either listen to music or to watch Netflix. I always find it difficult to fall asleep no matter what time I go to bed at (unless it has been a really tiring day and I've been on my feet all day). Because of this, I always either listen to music for hours on end before I start to feel sleepy. Other times, I usually just watch my favourite Tv shows on Netflix especially if I haven't had the time to catch up on the latest episode during the day. It's probably not a good thing to be honest because I've read that using devices especially your phone before you go to bed is really bad for you.

I have heard that too, @kingcool52. I've also heard that it's better to stop using all electronics quite a while before bedtime. It's supposed to make it easier to go to sleep. They also say that using your bed for sleeping and not for a spot to use your phone, laptop, etc. will help you sleep better as well. I don't really know.

I tried avoiding video games, music, and "heavy" TV shows or movies before bed. I think it helps some. I think your mind is more.. "quieted" that way, when you're ready to go to bed.

This is very funny because it just vividly described me 100%. My bed is another aspect of my game console, as I can't stay away from my bed while playing games.

Electric socket is beside my bed, my charges are practically on my bed and as I play games, I charge my device simultaneously so that I don't experience low battery or stories that touch the heart.

This activities actually affects my sleep in the night as I am always awake in the dead of the night pressing and playing silly games. Sometimes I am awake up till 2am in the morning.

I use my phone, but I only watch one or two short YouTube videos and then I decide to get some sleep. Usually I play something relaxing (like ASMR, give it a try) with my screen turned off and then catch some Zs.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

I only ever use my phone and that is when I am checking the weather before bed or something of said nature. I used to sit in bed all the time on my laptop but I broke that habit. It was bad for my neck and back. I guess it all depends on what you own and where you live. Teens and people who do room shares will spend a lot of time in their room so chances are, they are in their beds all the time.
