    Anyone else having strange weather?

It is kind of funny to me. This time of year we are usually knee deep in snow and for the last 3 days it has been in the 60's. It is going to be warm all week and then finally drop back down to the 20's where it normally is. I can't be alone here. I would imagine the weather is being funky all across the US. I remember hearing about California getting some major downpours. Yikes!

Where I live, we've had crazy temperatures. Last week, on Monday the high was about 80, the TUesday it was 45. A 35 degree drop in 1 day. And while that's t h e biggest shift so far, we still can't seem to settle on even the tens. 60 one day, 40 the next, then 50, then 30s. It's...bizarre to say the least.

I checked the weather earlier today and saw that it will be 70 on Friday and then 31 the next day. WHAT IS GOING ON!? haha I swear it is like someone is screwing with us. I don't remember ever experiencing a 70 degree day in February.

Over the weekend here in Minnesota, it was 50 some degrees. It was pleasent since I manage to go for a walk. Usually the winter time is too cold to do that. Usually around this time of year it would be below freezing. Sadly, it looks like mother nature is finally remembering that it's supposed to be winter and it's going to snow this weekend. I just hope that if there is any big snow storms coming that mother nature gets it out of her system now. I'm going to an anime convention in Minneapolis in April and I don't want a blizzard to ruin the trip.

One week we had severely cold weather and a blizzard, the next we had birds chirping and decently warm weather for a liesurely stroll. I'll tell ya what's up, kiddies, and it's that Old Man Winter needs more cowbell to make it cold! Ho! global warming is indeed not a myth. Global warming doesn't necessarily mean it's going to get warmer all the time and cold does not exist anymore, just means we're going to be experiencing more extreme shifts in temperature and weather patterns. Winters are harsher with their blizzards, and summers are just broiling hot--that one summer in India where tarmac literally melted? I wouldn't be surprised if a couple years form now, tarmac became lava!

Preaching aside, as I said, we've been experiencing some really wierd shifts in weather for months now. December is now our rainy month, january is still our deep freeze month, and February...back to back to back to back blizzards that one year, following year was two major blizzards that shut down numerous businesses. This year, one blizzard already put me out of work for two days.

I'm in Illinois and the weather (better to me, worse for the environment) has been much warmer than it usually should be here. The whole month of December we were getting 48 hour snow storms on the weekends up until the week of Christmas and it stopped....and no snow has been cumulative since then. We are on a 60+ day streak of no cumulative snow what so ever. The weather was shooting up to 50's in January and for the last three days we've had temperatures up to 60 and some of those days pushed to 70! We will be beating our record of having 60+ degree weather days in a row.

I'm not complaining because I HATE the cold but I understand that this shift in weather is definitely not good for the environment. It was so nice out Saturday here that I actually washed my wife's and my car outside. This season has been crazy for sure.

I actually love the cold but my favorite temps are what is has been so I can't really complain. I do love watching the snowfall though. That is the part that sucks for me. But cleaning it and having to worry about ice? I don't miss that. I guess we are going to have a hotter summer as well. I will be spending a lot of time in my pool! LOL

Ha I like my winters mild. I hate the cold so much and I used to like the snow but I'm working a job where when it snows, I'm the guy snow plowing the streets. Anyday, any time, that's what I do. So I'm enjoying this winter season so far. Record highs tomorrow here it's calling for!

Seeing, Old Man Winter is starting to go a bit...crazy with old age. When it's cold, he's like "Why the hell is it so cold? I need to heat the place up!", then when it's hot "Why is it so hot???!!?!"
That's my theory, any way lol.
