Since we are being encouraged to stay home, what do you have going on?

Everyone is being encouraged to stay home if possible and not go out. So what are you doing to keep you busy avoiding the normal social life?

I spend most of my time at home because of my anxiety issues so I am not really bothered by it. I am just doing my normal stuff. I work from home as well so I guess that is a blessing in and of itself. I am trying to get out and get fresh air when it is warmer though just because staying cooped up inside is not good for your immune system either. I just go sit out in my yard really. No one is around me since I live in a valley area.

I don't go out very often. But if I had to spend more time at home then I suppose I would read more books or just play games. Either way it would be time well spent My workplace said they'll be shutting down with the possibility of pay if we have a single confimed case of the virus.

Lockdown wouldn't be an issue for me. I have the experience to isolate and remain sane. On the other hand, my sister has a very weak immune system and her workplace won't let her isolate. She has kids too. I think the UK is finally learning their lesson and imposing more restrictions now. The government should give packed workplaces like busy offices the opportunity to work from home if possible. They're a hotbed for COVID-19. I know the implications, but risky workplaces waiting (or having to wait) for cases seems pretty bad to me due to the incubation period.

I got a pack of toilet rolls well over a month ago. I'm sure they'll last me through the crisis. And if somehow they don't, I'm not sure why people aren't considering bathroom wash cloths. They're obviously very much cleanable.

I'm fine with a quarantine as well. I was homeschooled for 4 years by choice, so I'm cool with it. both of my Uncles' workplaces have switched to working from home, and the university I work at has suspended classes for several weeks but I still need to show up for work. Just yesterday they encouraged people who are "uncomfortable" to stay home...Well with me being the youngest & presumably healthiest one at the office I can't really take that option just yet and be taken seriously.

I'm all for the office closing though, not because I'm worried about the virus but I'm a salaried employee. You're telling me there's a chance I could stay at home for 2 weeks playing Final Fantasy & watching hentai? Where do I sign?

I agree with everything you've said, except the hentai. You should be watching live action pornography.

On a more serious note, good shit's happening in my family at last. My sister is being allowed to work from home now because she has a very weak immune system and at high risk. She's taking her kids out of schooling and my mother is isolating. The advantage to that is obviously that the kids could have passed the coronavirus onto my parents if my sister continued working.

Silver lining to the coronavirus is being able to be socially retarded without getting flak for it, because being socially retarded is now apparently the good thing. Unfortunately many extroverts just aren't having any of it. They're the idiots who are most likely to pass it onto their parents and grandparents and potentially kill them. It astounds me how many of these people are still considering it no worse than the seasonal flu. It's as if they're trying to latch onto the stupidest of factoids to justify continuing to socially mix and spread the virus further.

I mentioned using washcloths to my mother and her face was priceless. I keep wanting to "ok boomer" her but I feel bad cause she is freaking out so I don't. lol and facial tissue (kleenex) is also an option. Same with baby wipes, but like washcloths you can't flush them but at least you don't have to wash them.

I bought plenty of food today from Amazon but also managed to get a few dozen toilet rolls and a few boxes of flushable wipes. (Never actually tried using those before.) I'm usually quite well stocked up on toilet roll anyway. I usually buy a couple of the large packs of toilet rolls to last me through most of a season. Given the choice I'd use toilet paper since it's becoming the new world's currency:

...But a cloth would not be completely terrible. People in India use their hands. Ask your mother to pick one.
