    Fast Food

Fast food places are usually a mixed bag. They're not usually too healthy, but they're quick, and relatively cheap.
So, if you like fast food places, do you have a favorite?
For me, it's probably Taco Bell. They have Cantina Bowls, which are decently healthy, and are actually really tasty.

The one I get most (which isn't often anymore) is usually either McDonald's or Burger King. It depends on which is enough route to my next stop. If it counts, (some do for some reason) I like Subway best.

I love all of that shit, McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, Pizza Hut... I know it's bad, but it's all so good. We don't have Taco Bell over here, not as prominently as in the US anyway, but if we did you can bet I'd be all over it like a dog in a rubbish bin. Man, I really want a burrito now...

I don't know if they're still doing it, but McDonalds did a burger called 'The Classic' for a while, which was absolutely delicious. I love burgers, I've had everything from McDonalds and Burger King, to Five Guys, to fancy resteraunt burgers (with a tower of onion rings!), to even making my own special pulled pork monstrosity, but nothing has tasted as good as that. It probably has something to do with all the additives they load them with.

Oh man... I'd be so fat right now if I didn't have Celiac Disease because I LOVE McDonalds. I was all about getting a combo with either their McChicken sandwich or chicken nuggets. I can't even eat their fries anymore ><

Nowadays, if I'm out and about and have to eat fast food, I pick Culvers because of their gluten free buns or Wendy's since they have baked potatoes and I've never gotten sick there. If I'm lucky some Pizza Huts have gluten free pizzas. All Pizza Ranch places do, but I've gotten sick every single time I've tried theirs.

I find fast food helpful sometimes for my health problems. While I'm not a fan if things taste like salt, I tend towards low blood pressure and need a bit more salt than average. When my BP bottoms out, fast food is helpful for raising it. The fat and stuff is bad for my heart condition though. Oops. Celiac must be rough though. I thought my friend who kept kosher and was allergic to eggs, milk and wheat had it rough.

Fast food in general has been a guilty pleasure of mine for quite a while...I'm trying to cut back nowadays to maybe a couple times a month if I'm out and about anyways or with friends, etc. A favorite of mine would be Jimmy John's: Why? Well, aside from the fact that I really am THAT lazy most days around lunch and would rather drive through for a simple cold cut, it also doesn't feel like "fast food" (McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, etc.) so I lie to myself that, "Oh, well, it's got lots of veggies and it ain't fried, so this isn't as bad for me as, say, a Big Mac...it's kinda' healthful" lol.

I love fast food. Who doesn't? Not many. If the big name joints were around here I'd probably have gone to them more often, so perhaps it's a good thing they're not. I love McDonald's cheeseburgers. I only go there a few times a year. When I get fast food I use a site called Just Eat. Through the site you can order from lots of local restaurants. There's one that does some amazing fried chicken. My favourite is probably the chippy (fish and chip shop), you know, being British and all.

With that said I've been putting a stop to it completely. When you like fast food a lot, sometimes it's a bad idea to remove it from your life cold turkey. And fast food isn't just restaurants. Junk food is instant—our kitchens are full of it, filled with god knows what, but we all love it. Who can blame us? It's bloody delicious and convenient, especially for those like me who don't even have an oven. I cook most things on a grill, otherwise using the microwave, a steamer or a slow cooker for stews. But there have been times when I've been hooked on fast food. Quitting it abruptly has given me the jitters, headaches, and serious cravings. You'd think fast/junk food has withdrawal symptoms of its own, but food is rarely thought of as a drug.

Food is definitely a drug- one I'm definitely addicted to. Like many stereotypical women, I'm big on chocolate in general and all sweets (Speaking of stereotypes, I love fish and chips. It's not just a British thing! That or I was British in a past life). Soda is a big problem for me in terms of junk/fast food addiction. It's the hardest habit to break for me, aside actual medicinal issues.

I eat a lot of microwaveable food. But focusing on joints, is it just me- or do you guys like specific places for specific things too? I prefer Wendy's chicken best, but Burger King's burgers and McDonald's fries.

No way June, it's Burger King that make the best fries! Especially the shaker fries, yum.
