    Favourite YouTube Channels

Oh for ****'s sake, what am I doing now?

Attempting to create conversation, that's what. Not really much to say about the point of this one, other than tell us about what your favourite channels are, and why. As always, I'll start. I mean it's my topic, who else is going to start?

One that I only recently found but have really been spending too much time on lately:
    Shitcase Cinema
This one's obviously not going to be to everyone's taste because of the style; nothing fancy here at all, it's literally just some guy sitting in front of a camera, tearing films to pieces for shitty scenes, acting, effects... whatever. His earliest stuff's a fair bit weaker and it shows on a lot of them (because he's just waffling for a lot of it trying to get comfortable with the idea), but the newer videos are genuinely entertaining. With the non-budget and generally unscripted nature, there's just something spontaneously funny about it. I don't know, maybe I just like the fact he's drinking, swearing, and watching shit films while holding the same contempt for the inexcusably crap moments that I do.
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

    RE: Favourite YouTube Channels

I ended up watching his review of Jason and the Argonauts, which he actually gave a good score. I need to finally watch that old film. Anyway, I subscribed so I'll get round to watching his reviews of shit films soon enough. Right, here goes. Onto a few of my favourites:

In the UK there's a chain of Poundland stores, and other stores of similar names. As you US citizens may guess, they sell things that cost a pound. A bit like a dollar store, but you'd expect the items to be of a greater quality. They're not. And there's one guy who reviews a lot of Poundland tat. Yes, he's called Ashens if you've not heard of him already. Now, let's just hope YouTube image hotlinking works...

    Likes: Sad onions
Dislikes: Crap that actually turns out to be good (which is rare, or he doesn't review it)

Ashens doesn't only review brilliant Poundland goods. He also reviews various bizarre items and crappy imitation handheld Chinese gaming systems that belong to the late '80s, such as the POP Station. These aside, he also makes the occasional amusing non-review video and has appeared on national television. A couple of recent Ashens videos (I'm lazy)...

    Likes: Video game skits
Dislikes: Cookie-cutter games (or at least they used to!)

Whilst I do like some of their recent videos, I think they're lacking a little lately and there are too many promotional videos which just aren't funny. What is funny though is the videos back from the good old days when they first started out, only producing video game skits. (This was late 2004, I believe.) A couple of awesome ones follow.

Let's get serious. 8) I often watch videos just for entertainment as something to do when I'm wolfing down food, but I do like to keep up with news, and RT is really the most honest news network I've come across lately. Recently a lot of the news reports have pertained to war or freedom (SOPA, etc.), and rightly so given how things are. So here are some not so happy recent videos...

Ah, what the heck. One final channel of entertainment:

Likes: Pokémon, and other things that could be regarded as geeky
Dislikes: Probably not being the #1 subscribed (they're #3)

It's not that I don't like popular things because they're popular (I'm a sucker for some things that are popular), but I find there is a common trend amongst the top YouTubers. Most of them suck. Fortunately, often this isn't the case with Smosh. I don't like all of their videos, but some of them are bloody hilarious. Best of all, unlike morons like RayWilliamJohnson, they actually produce their own content! I have a feeling embedding may be disabled, but anyway...

That's it for now. I'll share more channels at some point in the future.

    RE: Favourite YouTube Channels

For me, I don't really have a LOT that I subscribe to, but these are some of my personal favorites:

    Egoraptor
His animations and parodies of video games always get to me and I find myself and the friends I play games with referring to his videos ALL of the time!

Some of Egoraptor's famous and greatest videos:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwrPuCnNbv8

    NicePeter & ERB
Because of the original songs they make and the comical, yet almost completely accurate, references to the people they play and sing about. The reason why I put both of those channels in the same category is because it is the same person just different channels.

Have to say I love these videos. Not just by the fact that they are comedic/ full of video effects, but because they have made a living out of this work!

My favorite YouTube channels are Crash Course and SciShow. I'm a college student, and Crash Course has helped me pass several exams. I used it (without reading books or looking at anything else) to study for the AP US History exam and I got a 5, so I'd say that one was the most helpful. Other than that, I've used it to review for biology and chemistry. I also just enjoy looking at their videos for some educational entertainment. I love the graphics that Thought Bubble (which is another really good channel) does for them. and they present material in a fun way. I'd say the same for SciShow. I especially enjoy the Quick Question videos that answer questions that people have about life. (I just learned yesterday why toothpaste makes everything taste bad. Good times.)

The Angry Joe Show is one of my favorite YouTube channels. That guy is working really hard to bring us quality reviews of video games and movies, and I think he has earned the 1.000.000+ audience he has. Much more so, then, say, PewDiePie. I really don`t like that guy at all.

I really like video games so I watch World of Longplay where they have games of almost every console as well as PC games as lets play videos. It helps me since the games I have interest in are on different consoles than mine and I do not have either the money or time to buy it.

Next up is ManlyBadassHero, who does let's plays of mostly RPG Maker games but the real reason I follow him is because of his godly voice which sounds like Solid Snake and hotness

    ...Don't judge me
