    Fictional Terms for Existing Concepts

I was revisiting Zone of the Enders recently and remembered that they call mech pilots "Frame Runners". Somehow I think that's cool as shit. Are there names for things in fiction that you really like versus their boring real-world counterpart?

A lot of the examples I can think of revolve around mecha anime/games/manga. In Steel Battalion, they aren't mecha they are "Vertical Tanks". In Xenoblade they're called Dolls. Xenogears has Gears. The Internet in Serial Experiments Lain is called "The Wired".

French Fries are called "Chips" in England.

    Your turn!!!
"Out of the ground, raze all greenery with flame! Fire2!"

I really can't think of anything off the top of my head. I too enjoy the names of tech gear and whatnot in anime or videos over what they are called irl, but my brain is malfunctioning at the moment and I can't think of a single one. lol I am going to have to come back to this thread. Maybe after I watch some stuff something will pop in my head.

Does Megadeus count? Those are the bots from Big O.
