Thread: Greek Mythology

There are so many god-themed movies out there. Different civilizations in the world worshipped many different gods and they left evidence of this for archaeologists of our era to find. The Egyptians, Greeks and Norwegians are the most featured in this field. Having watched so many movies and series, I find Greek gods to be most impressive. The tale of Zeus and Hera has been spun so many times to produce countless movies but it never gets old. Which gods in history are most appealing to you?

Egyptian gods.

Yeah for me it is the Egyptian ones. I have always had an interest in the history. What they wore, ate, and even what they worshiped (cats) always appealed to me.

The major difference is that the Egyptian gods lived on Earth with their worshipers and left Earth when their time was over. Meanwhile, the Greek gods regularly traveled from heaven to Earth.

I've always loved the Greek gods. Their myths were the first things I read on my own, and my love for them has never dwindled.

That's true, the first time I heard of the greek gods is when I was watch some greek mythology movie that I can't remember.

Greek gods are the most famous because most of the movies concerning gods are based on the Greeks. Apart from Thor, Loki and Odin, I don't think I know any other gods, apart from the Greek gods. Norwegian gods and Egyptian gods have recently become a thing but in my opinion, a good Zeus story will beat a Thor story any day.

Trust me, you DON'T want to see most of egyptian mythology movies.
If you cling to any kind of respect you're gonna suffer.
This marvelous mythology is almost always degraded by cinema.

I have recently been searching for a good Egyptian mythology movie and that's when I came across "gods of Egypt". I've got to say, it was really nice.
