    "I've lost it!"

Not my mind. Not yet anyway! But I lost my TV remote today. It doesn't happen very often but I'm sure I share this frustration with a lot of forum members and most human beings for that matter. Fortunately I did get an app that allowed me to use my phone as a remote for the time being. But how often do you lose things? That could be glasses, keys, whatever. Any embarrassing stories? Time to confess.

I have one embarrassing story. It isn't that bad though. I'd lost my keys. A deliveryman wanted me to collect a package from outside the building (they usually come to the individual apartment doors on the inside) so I just went to collect it from the main door. Simple. Except he wanted me to sign his PDA and was standing at a bit of a distance. Easy enough, just wedge the door with your foot, right? My phone rang. Knee-jerk reaction was habitually to grab the phone from my pocket.

    *click*
    "...shit."

So I was locked outside. Not got an exciting disastrous story for you this time, but it's a little embarrassing to have to ask your neighbours to let you into your own home as many were likely still in bed. Especially when you barely know them.

Compare that to a guy I knew who was looking for his glasses for nearly an hour and they were on his head like goggles.

I was watching over a kitten for someone, he stayed at my house for 4 or 5 days and knocked a fan remote I had off a table. It is one of those ones that can be controlled still by pushing the buttons but the remote made it convenient. This was almost a year ago and I have still yet to find where it went. I have moved furniture, rearranged the room, it is nowhere to be found. Do you know that joke about the dryer eating socks? I think the floor eats remotes. lol

Well, I don't have a particularly compelling tale. One time, I was about to go out and I couldn't find my wallet. I panicked and searched all over my place to track it down. Turns out that it was in my slacks that I wore earlier that day and I forgot to take out my wallet from them after I got back from work.

I hate when I lose socks or a shirt.

Something you think you lost and when you are moving house, you magically find it again
