Lending vs Borrowing Money ; Your Pick?

Are you more comfortable lending money to people, be it your friends or a stranger or are you more comfortable borrowing? Personally, I really don't fancy borrowing money from anyone or anywhere, not banks or cooperate individuals.

This is actually because I don't well being a debtor. It deprives me of my peace and rest of mind and body. It practically gives me a push up in my blood pressure should I by accident bump into the individual that I borrowed such fund from.

What's your pick, borrowing or lending?

I have never thought about this but to some extent I think it depends on the circumstance.Borrowing money from a trusted friend or business associate is okay.Someone who trusts that you will repay the loan will not stress you. However there are some shady characters who will capitalize on your debt and pressure you into paying more or paying immediately they feel like they want their money back.Lending money also has its challenges because if you don't assess the person you are lending your hard-earned cash to,you may have a very difficult time getting the money back.It is also possible to get duped by very bad people.

I prefer lending money rather than being the one to borrow. It's probably pride for me that prevents me from asking help from others. Also, I do not want to develop a bad habit of racking up debts.

Lending, because owing anything makes me kind of freak out.

I've had to borrow money a couple of times over the past few years from family, although I always paid it back on time. But I don't want to do it in future. Lending money isn't something I like to do either, as selfish as that sounds. I've done it before and got it back far beyond what was agreed upon. Same with other things with a monetary value. When I was a kid sometimes when I lent a video game I didn't get it back. I guess I'd do it for a very good friend. However, I'd rather do neither.

I have to agree with people here. Lending seems to be the more comfortable option since you are not at the mercy of others. If you borrow, there are inconsiderate lenders. And if you lend, you may forgive the borrower if they forget. Or you can just think that you are being a good Samaritan and that's that.

I don't like owing money based on experience. I guess growing up, anytime I borrowed money from family, they made me feel like I owed them more than just the money. One time I borrowed like $5 from a cousin of mine. I had like $6 left till I got paid, wasn't getting paid for like 6 days. She forced me to pay her back and when I gave it to her, she whipped out a woad of cash and said it was for "insurance money" when I already knew her mother paid her car insurance for her.
