First thing you will do when the lockdown is over?

Since it is a holiday today and I know many people aren't getting together, it can be kind of depressing.

My family's gatherings have been pretty small since my grandparents passed away so there was usually only like 8 to 10 people anyways. I will be having dinner with my parents and husband so there will be 4 people in total. Better than nothing I suppose?

As for the lockdown, I have read about it being lightly lifted starting May 1st, then mostly lifted June 1st, and then completely lifted July 1st. So as of now, I will be completely free on June 1st but I know this could change.

Either way, what do you plan on doing when life goes back to normal? What will be the first thing you do?

Basically, get back with my buddies to drink, watch anime, go to bars and be merry.

I'll probably go to the new gun range I was able to get a membership for (I had to find an existing member to recommend me). Also, I'll go to my favorite bar for $1.25 drafts/$0.45 wings night.

Considering lockdown will (maybe) end some time around June, I'll probably get together with friends, play games, play MTG, record some (already started with DMC3), drink, and just have fun.

Probably look for a job. May have a grand day out, going to the library, to the park, eating out, going to the local cafe, etc. Might even bring a date if I can get one.

The lockdown ending will not mean that social distancing will end. I don't like to be that guy, but gatherings would probably still be banned in the UK and US for a long period. France too I imagine. It's not a matter of lockdown just being over one day. Like Korin said they'll lift the lockdown gradually. (My government considered the possibility of fully lifting lockdown area-by-area but then said it's a pretty bad idea.) I just can't imagine it being over completely in the US by July but hope I'm wrong.

According to the WHO, that is what was stated maybe a week or so ago (everything being lifted in the US by July 1st). At this point, I think it would be better to protect high-risk folks by keeping them in lockdown and letting low-risk people get back to work. The longer we are all in lockdown for, the more the debt goes up and this won't be good for people just coming into the job market. I mean my husband is an immigrant to the US and didn't even get a chance to get his license before everything closed up. People from all angles are getting screwed here.

I am starting to worry myself because there is only so much time they will allow people not to pay their bills. I have little income coming in right now myself, hardly enough to support my husband and I with our pets.

I just don't think this was handled right at all.

I'll get drunk. I'm trying now but holy fucking hell I'm just not in the fucking mood, which just makes me incredibly fucking angry.

And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

Are you a social drinker? I know some people who are and can't drink alone because it becomes boring for them. In that case, I can understand not being able to drink.
