Where do you get your "news" from?

In terms of general news, do you get it from a local paper? Local news station? Maybe an independent website? Mainstream media outlet?

I typically get my news the unconventional way... Someone on a forum mentions it. lol I don't watch the news other than for the weather and I only stick to local channels. Sometimes I feel like I don't know enough but even then, sometimes that is a good thing when it comes to avoiding stress.

    The Onion.
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

I suppose the question would probably be where I don't get my news from. BBC is way up there, and most UK newspapers are rubbish. Wouldn't touch The Guardian.

Entertainment is a bit different. In terms of gaming, I never read Polygon. I usually don't like gaming sites that are political (particularly those that shoehorn their agenda into a review of a game that isn't political) which seems to happen far more often in left-wing journalism.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

BBC is a joke over here anymore (in the US). Same with the Guardian. They joined the cult of CNN and their ratings have been tanking since. No one considers these places to have reliable honest news anymore. Rightfully so too.

/pol/, InfoWars, and The Daily Stormer.

No but seriously though my answer is really close to Korin's. There are a few people in my life I trust when they mention a news event, plus forums, memes, local news, and weather. There are a few youtubers I like who summarize the week's gaming news, I also like Oneangrygamer and absolutely hate Kotaku. I won't say which, but there is a clickbait Kotaku article still posted to this day which makes up bullshit about myself and a group I was a part of. When you're the one being reported on, it becomes really clear just how much of their "news stories" are outright fabricated to make things more dramatic.
