As the title says, I want to hear about anything paranormal you may have experienced. Eerie unexplained events count too.
I've got several, the majority of which occurred when I was a kid or in my early teens so alcohol/drugs weren't (and still aren't) a factor.
1. When I was 6, my parents told me that I was allowed to dig in a certain portion of our yard on the side of the house. My best friend would come over every day after school and we would dig with garden trowels to clear space for a "secret hideout". He was to my left, I turned to speak to him and saw a spiky black ball about 2.5 feet off the ground floating. It looked like a basketball-sized black sea urchin. My friend saw my eyes go wide and he looked as well. It floated past him, then past me and
through my fence without breaking form whatsoever. It turned around the corner of the house and I never saw it again. Thankfully, I was a clever enough kid to ask my friend what he saw first so he wouldn't just agree with me in his panic. He described the same thing I had seen (it was close enough to us to reach out and touch). I almost wish I hadn't asked him first, because now I can't write this off as my imagination.
2. While visiting my great-grandparents when I was 8, I woke up in the morning (broad-ass daylight) to see a woman in what I thought was a wedding dress floating a foot or so off the ground, watching me. Told my mom ('you were dreaming', etc...). Told my dad about it when I was 22, and he explained that my great-grandparents used to rent that room from the 50's - 80's. Their most infamous tenant was a woman who matched the apparition's appearance, would only leave the room from 2am-4am, had hollowed out her mattress and filled it with salt as well as put a ring of salt on the floor to protect herself from "them". She disappeared randomly one night, leaving the door to the outside wide open. Within a week, a man came to inquire about a room for rent, despite that woman having lived there for years and thus my great-grandparents hadn't advertised that a room was available for years and years. The guy wore gloves 24/7 and only touched things while holding a napkin/tissue to pick them up with. How he knew about the vacancy and why they rented to such a freak, I'll never know.
3. Last one for now, and the last major one I personally have but my fiance has one or two I could share if anyone cares. I was home along with my girlfriend in my freshman year of college, we were at my parents' place. My mom was supposed to be home any moment with dinner. We heard the garage door open and close, then footsteps in the kitchen below us. Next, my mom's voice called up to me, and I KNOW I wasn't hearing things because my gf answered before I could "be right down" or something similar. We both go down and...wtf...nobody there. I checked the garage and there are no cars. None on the driveway or parked on the street, so it's not a prank. So we call my mom and we can hear that she is still at the restaurant ordering. We go to the basement and wait it out, about 15 mins later hearing the garage door again, footsteps above us in the kitchen and my name called again. Again, gf answers before me and we go upstairs, relieved that she is finally home. Nobody. We waited on the curb until her car pulled up after that.
Anyone got any? I can go for a shorter Round 2 if anyone is interested at a later date.
