Are you prepared for the 2020 holiday season?

I am one of those people that doesn't celebrate everything or has large family gatherings, at least not anymore. Most holidays are just a handful of us and a quiet meal together. It is hard to believe it but summer is almost over and before you know it, it will be Halloween. Then Christmas. Then 2021.

Are you prepared for the holiday season this year? I have a feeling it will be more stressful than usual for a lot of people.

I'm prepared, i don't really see how this year's Holiday season will be different in terma of buying gifts or seeing my family. I'm looking forward to it.
I got a house this year so i'm excited to host Christmas.

That will be fun. Ironically enough, that is one of the things I am looking forward to most when my husband and I buy a home. We are hoping to buy a home next fall if things work out for him and he gets this administrative job. We will save up as much as we can and then hopefully find a home we both love. I know because of Covid and the shock to the economy, house pricing is projected to be down as much as 40% in some areas for the next 2 years. So really, it is a good time to buy if we can manage it.

I'm not sure whether there will be much to prepare for. I've been keeping up with birthdays okay, but you can't have Christmas Day mailed to someone. With a new coronavirus wave looking very possible during the winter months I get the feeling a new lockdown may be imposed.

To be perfectly honest I've got used to the societal changes that COVID-19 has brought. Going without a real Christmas for a year isn't something I'd lose sleep over. I'll just see how things turn out and prepare further down the line. In the meantime I'm not worrying about Christmas.
