    The science to an Afterlife?

So basically, we all have different opinions on the topic. But if we disregard the religious opinions, what are your opinions on a scientific afterlife?

Are we talking nothing but pure science and no faith?

I don't think there is one. I mean other than the body just turning to dust over time and decaying. I am a bit confused by the question but I am curious what you mean by it.

My opinion on death is that it's just a definitive coma.
No afterlife, as your consciousness is tied to your brain which stops working after you die.
That's why i lack respect to the dead, because a corpse is just dead meat, litteraly.
    Never overestimate mankind.

My opinion about scientific life is that after death there is no life as in nothing. Our body will just decayed and turned into dust. However, I want to believed that afterlife we still have soul or spirit and be one of the angels of God. I hate to think that there is no next life. I want to be a living soul so I can still see and visit my family and friends.

Scientifically speaking matter can't be destroyed it can only be transformed. When a person dies, the body turns to dust and the soul...well that's the big mystery, what happens to the the soul? Some say it becomes one with the universe, whatever that means.

I think you got one thing wrong : we are talking about science not about religion.
Because as you said, we know for the matter, but soul... does not exist.
It's a 100% religion/philosophy thing. Nothing such as a soul can distinguished from the neural activity.
So when it comes to science (as proving the existence/functioning of Something with tangible evidence) it doesn't exist.
The <<Me>> dies with your consciousness, counsciousness tied to neural activity, neural activity stopping with death.
As i like to say : i'm not dead so death isn't my problem, and once i'm dead i'm not alive to think about it anymore.
    Never overestimate mankind.

Okay if we take out the soul part and stick to science then there's only one probability and that is that there's no afterlife and when one dies then ones existence ends. Which I really think isnt true.
