Which season do you prefer in terms of weather?

I don't think I asked this on here before. I don't know if it has been asked but I didn't see it on the first page.

Since Summer officially starts next month, I thought it can be something we can discuss.

I live in an area that sees all 4 seasons as a dramatic change. Snow in the winter, rain in the spring, heat in the summer, and cool dry air in the fall with some rain. Out of the 4, I would say that fall is my favorite just because of the lack of bugs and it still being warm enough to enjoy outdoors. I do like the winter but I don't like when it gets too cold and I have to go out in it. Spring mostly sucks to me because we get too much rain and all the bugs start coming out. Summer, I feel mixed about. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I loathe it.

I heard somewhere that people usually prefer/are best suited to the season in which they were born. I've always preferred the late Fall and I have a November birthday. We experience all 4 seasons quite distinctly here, our Summers are on par with Miami but our Winters are as bad as Svalbard, I think it's something to do with the Appalachian mountains affecting the jetstream that gives us such uniquely extreme weather despite not being all that far North or South. I prefer the cold to the heat, but I won't lie about appreciating the more fun & laid back Summer vibe & longer days now that I'm an adult and I need more daylight hours.

Mantis had mentioned in the past about having seasonal affective disorder, and while I fully believed that it was a real condition I couldn't imagine what that must feel like. This part Winter, I noticed the first marked decrease in my motivation/energy/focus, etc. that correlated with the season. The FIRST day it began to warm up (50-55 F) I was immediately cured as the sun hit my skin. It was like an on/off switch, and in that moment I think I understood how dramatically the weather can affect people's mood and abilities. It also tells me that preferences for certain weather are much stronger than mere preferences, in some cases. My boss almost shuts down when the weather is cold, he's a skinny dude and is simply miserable for approx. 4 months per year. My favorite weather by far is rain, whether it's heavy or light or on a day I had intended to go outside...I just adore a good rainy day. We had a beautiful Memorial Day with 'perfect' sunny weather, but I got a solid 12 hours of stormsand rain Tuesday for my return to work and I absolutely murdered my to-do list in the office, owing to my weather-related motivation.

I was born in the late winter but still prefer fall, I have heard of this being a thing though. I can tolerate the cold a lot easier than the heat. I used to say I was moving to the colder climate of Alaska growing up because of this. lol

My aunt has SAD and she said she didn't notice it until she got older. It has a lot to do with vitamin D3 absorption rates. Some people need more than others so when the winter rolls around and your levels are lower, you experience mood, memory, and energy drops.

It's a tie between spring and fall. Being in Minnesota, it gets ridiculously cold. I like cooler weather, but not when it gets to -50 degrees. Summer has the opposite problem where it gets hot as balls. On top of that, it can get humid where I'm from which makes it worse. Spring and fall is the sweet spot. It's not super cold. Maybe you'll need a jacket at most but it's also warm enough to feel pleasant to walk through.

Summer. Less rain, more sun, quieter streets (for other reasons but it goes with the time) and livelier (or at least i feel like) fauna and flora.

Yeah it's always nice to start seeing the world come to life around late-Spring/early-Summer.
