    Sleep

We should all spend close to a third of our lives sleeping. How much sleep do you get, though? Are you satisfied with your amount of sleep? Is your bed comfortable? Do you sleep on your back/side/front? What's your lucky number?

My sleep has pretty much fluctuated over the past six months. Rarely it's been very good, and sometimes it's been terrible. I'd say I currently need eight hours of sleep a night. I either sleep on my back or side and the beds here at university suck. My lucky number is seven.

    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

    RE: Sleep

I get anywhere between 3 - 6 hours of sleep a night. usually enough if I'm deeply sleepin, but atm it's not because I'm barely asleep. Waiting in fear about my interview lol. my bed isn't comfortable when I sleep on my back, cause a spring hits my back in a painful manner. I find I get the best sleep when I'm on my tummy.

My lucky number is 8. No reason, i just decided one day it was gonna be 8
You're asking for historical accuracy in a series where men weilding three swords in each hand, pirates surfing across land on giant anchors, horses with motocycle parts attached and feudal-era Power Rangers are the norm?

    RE: Sleep

I get between 4 and 10 hours depending on the day, but will always wake up several times. My bed is very comfortable to me, and I can sleep on my front, back or either side. Lucky number? Pah.

    RE: Sleep

Usually 5-9 hours. I end up sleeping on my side these days because of something going on with the left side of my hip that I can't figure out.

    RE: Sleep

7-8 hours in my warm bunk.
    I'm quite satisfied.
Never going back to waking up a 5 o'clock.
    Ever.

    RE: Sleep

Sleep is a very important part of life and should be respected.

In my case, I do not sleep as much as I should. Usually I manage to get into bed and fall asleep daily around 03:00 AM, 02:00 AM if I am lucky. It is wrong, but I have no control over this. I am cursed in this sense you could say I guess. I would like to go to bed earlier, but I work and study online and every time there is something new to look into. I wake up at 9AM (11AM on weekends) and continue with work for various subjects of interest. It is a never-ending struggle. I can feel my body protesting, but my mind is set straight and knows it has to continue doing what it does, for the most part. Maybe it sounds weird, but when you get tied into so many things as me, you would understand. Sometimes I wish I wouldn't have taken the red pill in the first place.

Anyhow, I encourage everyone to sleep as much as possible. In the end, your body will pay you back. Either in a good light with a long prosperous healthy life or with alot of health issues which could have been prevented were you to sleep regularely for a minimal amount of time needed. You can manage to stay awake even for a week if you wanted, but it is not worth it in the long term if you get my drift.

P.S. The longest I have ever slept was for 13 hours. That was an extreme though and I really needed it.
Believe in yourself and create your own destiny. Don't fear failure.

    RE: Sleep

I think like Mr. Asher, I get usually about 7-8 sleep too. Sometimes less, when I don't put down the manga or other books. lol

I have a full size bed because I don't want a bed that will take up most of the space in my room, which is kinda on the small side. Lately I've been trying ways to expand it some, but getting rid of stuff: shelves-so my dad can build me a wider one to save on space, weird bulky stereo/shelf thing-because I reaaly don't use it...Whoops! I trailed off from the subject a bit.

I usually sleep on my stomach. I've tried sleeping on my side, but my legs and arms go numb or are very sore when I wake up like I had a full day's exercise and felt the results next day/night. I sometimes can pull off sleeping my back, but usually trying to sleep that way keeps me await. Weird, huh?

17 is my favorite number, so I guess it'll be my lucky one too.

    RE: Sleep

I get around 7 hours of sleep on average. I get the right amount of sleep, though. I honestly loved my college bunk better than my bed at home. That extra six inches of length really makes a difference. I generally sleep on my back or side, shifting between the two.

    Lucky number is 30.

    RE: Sleep

Lately my sleep's been really bad. Most times when I sleep, the birds are already singing and it's close or beyond 5.00AM. I ended up doing an all-nighter and then an all-dayer to fix my sleep. During the day of this "all-dayer" I was severely tired and had to play some pretty adrenaline-pumping FPS to keep myself awake. I did doze off for about ten minutes on my chair though. I'm glad I was woken up by the phone.

Then, come night time, I went to bed at 10.00PM and couldn't sleep for three hours. I was so annoyed by this after the effort fixing my sleep cycle, and it's still terrible now. It's nearly 2.30AM and I feel as if I should sleep soon. When I go to sleep before I feel very tired, often my crazy mind keeps me awake with endless thoughts.
