    Sleepwalking/talking and other oddities

Have you or has anyone you know sleepwalked, sleep talked, or presented other strange behaviours of various kinds?

I am convinced that I'm sleep talking, but not in the typical sense. They say that sleep talking occurs in the NREM phase, but you dream during REM sleep, right? Well what I remember is waking up extremely briefly (like twenty seconds maybe) and replying to somebody in a dream quite coherently, then immediately falling back to sleep again and continuing my dream seamlessly. I am sure this happens because I recall briefly seeing my room when I speak these words. During dreams my room always looks different in some way, but when I see my room during these talking phases, everything is as it should be, I see my cat sleeping, etc.

I bet he's bloody weirded out by my "sleep talking" though. Last night one of my several dreams was about meeting some old classmates, which isn't something I've ever been particularly interested in. They started asking me various questions, some odd. Then I started sleep talking (also strongly hearing my own voice) to reply to the question, followed by presumably falling back to sleep again and I'm back at that meeting as if nothing happened.

It's very surreal, I'll tell ya that much.

    Especially violent dreams.

I love that Matrix scene, and I've sometimes considered the same thing.

Not since before the age of 10 but i do have a few:

    1. I was about 6, i had a box of toy cars that i played with often. My parents found me on the staircase going downstairs with my eyes closed holding that box. I had made it down 10 out of 12 stairs already. My dog went and woke my parents up when i began sleepwalking and did so on several occasions, likely saving my ass.

    2. I once woke up due to falling down stairs about age 5 or 6. Similarly to the last story, minus the box of toys and i tumbled down the last 4 stairs.

    3. Not sleepwalking or talking but a reocurring dream. My mom would open the door to my room to check on me as a slept for several years when i was young EVERY night. I had a nightlight and i could somewhat see her. The door opening would just partially wake me up, and if i closed my eyes she would be gone. I know this happened so often because it got to a point where i would purposefully strain to keep my eyes open as sort of a challenge. No matter what i said, she wouldn't respond.
Years later, my mom told me that she only checked on me once per week maximum. Maybe once per month. What that was, i have no idea.

Yeah my husband talks in his sleep. Some things I can understand but most of the time, it just is one or two words with sounds and mumbling. I was told I sometimes talk in my sleep too but never actual sentences.

I have some wired dreams from time to time, it's actually one of the reason why I don't fancy dreaming because sometimes the horrible ones called nightmare creeps in and scaring the death out of my sorry self when I wake up. But on sleeptalking or sleepwalking, I haven't experienced that apart from sometime ago when my younger brother used to have nightmare and he would be murmuring in real life till I wake him up. I have only seen sleepwalking in movies, I haven't gotten the privilege to witness it in real life setting.

I have a cousin who say funny stuff when he is a sleep. Whenever he start sleep-talking, I always end up on the floor laughing my ass off. The sleep-walking thing is really weird. I mean are your eyes open or shut when this happens? I happen to believe these are both symptoms of a malfunctioning brain.

I just had a very weird experience just 30 minutes before writing this.
I went to take a nap and woke up on a crime scene.
Here are my investigation's conclusion :

During my nap, it seems i "woke up" (i don't have any memory of it, i was sleeping) to shit on my floor, step in it, walk around in my room, step several times on my bath mat, get rid of the crime weapon, dress back up and go back to sleep.

The following is of course me waking up feeling weak, slow and nauseous, discovering all that and wondering.
