    Do you spend too much?

    I am usually very picky about what I spend my money on. If I see something that I love from the moment I see it and I know it will be useful in my life I am the type that will save up for that item. I am not the person who will buy something just because it is on sale. I used to love shopping but now as I grow up I really like to think about every purchase I want to make.

    Do you spend too much or do you also think a lot before you finally invest in something?

    I'm from a very poor family, so we spend a long time thinking and discussing over what we're going to buy before we go through it- whether it's something at th grocery store or something else. I never liked shopping much anyway, but...I do wish we had money for things we want and not just what we need. Finances are a pain. >>;

    I'm a big sucker for sales :/ Sometimes sales can be too good to miss. I mean 50% off on an electronic gadget or tool and up to 90% on games. Especially on Steam. I have no idea how to keep the money inside my wallet lol.

    I have a hard time saving money most of the time, but I partially blame my small paycheck for that. I still need to live so I have to spend some money here and there. I do try to get sales whenever I can though. It is always worth the wait to get something for cheap.

    I try to save as much money as I can and I'm very careful about my purchases. I try to buy the essentials only so I can save money to spend it when I need it, but there are times that I do throw caution to the wind and splash out on things, and sometimes a little too much which has landed me in a little bit of trouble at times.

    Yes and no. I sometimes makes a lot of small purchases in one day, and over spend a little. I generally avoid bigger purchases (like a PS3 or PS4, a fancy new camera, and etc) but I sometimes spend too much, over the course of a day. Hah and it's usually too much on stuff like groceries too.

    I spend too much money on clothes.... way too much. I don't mind it though because clothes are something that you need and that you use all of the time. I could probably spend way less on clothes but I like to look good and I like going into clothes shops. I've tried to spend less by exclusively buying clothes online but it didn't really help. I also spend a lot of money on video games but they're quite good value because I wait until Steam sales to buy games.

    Yes I do, I'm ashamed to say. However, unlike some people I know, I usually end up using what I buy. Sometimes it's for self-gratification or just to fulfil an obsession. For instance, I probably own more Outlaw Star merchandise than anybody in the whole west of this world, and while that is a bold claim it's very likely true. I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed about that. Quite evidently by the community I manage the show is very important to me so I often do spend quite a bit. Then there are other things. I consider takeaways a luxury because they cost quite a lot here in the UK from most places, and often I just don't feel like cooking, but I'm changing that habit. Then there's video games. I own a lot of those, admittedly more than I could play in a long time.

    Would I have a better quality of life if I was more frugal? I don't know. But you know what they say: old habits die hard.

    Yes, I do spend way too much money. Because of my addiction to makeup. Literally I am constantly looking for new and better makeup products. I spend so much time online learning new and better application techniques for my makeup. Whenever I go into a Walmart or Rite Aid I am straight off to the makeup aisle. I spend a lot of my time looking on Ulta and Sephora. Whenever I shop at one of those stores I will always spend at least fifty dollars.

    I spend a lot as well. It's hard for me to contain the urges. Someone mentioned Steam... I bought 10 games during the past month, 9 of which I still didn't play. They were just extremely good deals. Is anyone familiar with Humble Bundle? They offered $150 worth of Borderlands and its DLCs for $5. Also recently they had this whole 'Gamemaking bundle' that got me buying at least the first level of software, I paid $1 for over $100 of software. I have no idea how they manage to give us such good deals and still profit someway. Or maybe the purpose really is all about charity like they say.

    Anyhow I feel I got off topic here,my point is... If you tell me this thing costs $100 then give me a chance to get it for $1 after a few years, I'm sure as hell going to take that because I'm that kind of person. Easily manipulated by the fake (sometimes) scratched price tags. I would buy something even if I don't need it because I just think, "I might need it someday, better get it while it's cheap." And that's the whole idea of sales, they want us to think like that D:
    Steam sales may be an exception.
