A strange dream
Here is a dream i had a few weeks ago, and it's still disturbing, almost "haunting" me since then.
I'm not asking you to start a psychanalysis but i wanted to know what you think of it.
I may not be perfectly rendering the feeling as the words i used were extremely precise and may be hard/impossible to translate while keeping the entirety of the meaning. You know, language complexity and richness...
Also, i am only translating the texte i wrote out of fear, exitement, and curiosity a few seconds after waking up in sweats, i am strictly translating what i wrote that day. However i could not translate to english the broken french i was writing, but know that the original text is full of error i consider i would have never committed otherwise, which is (i don't exactly know why) a crucial detail.
So here it is :
As i exit an underground that seems like it's used as a theater, i do some random shit and restart the scenee several times.
Everything starts after a few trials.
As i get out i instinctively head towards a building on my left. I meet a young woman dressed in a old-fashionned way and accompany her. Once i'm in front of the build, i notice that i went from an unknown street of an unknown city from XXIst century to a precise building of a familiar street of an unknown city where the clothes and the archytecture look like they're from the XIXth century. The woman leaves and i enter the unlocked building as if i went back home.
The interior is somptuous : marble collumns, beige tiling, red curtains and carpets on the ground floor's hall like on the stairs.
The building looked like it was 5 or 6 floors high, but i climb a superior and undefined number of stairs without seeing the end of this stairway, however i am still bathed in light, i see the staiway going higher and higher.
I look over the railguard and am grasped with Sartre's anxiety, before climbing down the stairs but not in a regular way.
I jump from Platform to Platform (sorts of interior balconies), in a Dangerous way and with questionnable trajectories but without any shred of fear. As i reach the first floor i start climbing down the stairs normally (walking of stairs), but when i see the last line of stairs, i am struck with an unspeakable fear and wake up with a start.
After going back to sleep i see a scene (still with looks of XIXth century) of a man of whom i do not "understand" the face being introduced to the afore-mentionned young woman's (the one i accompanied) family.
Strangely there is onl the Young man and mother along with her three (or four, there's been both) daughters including the one from first part. After tat comes a dinner scene : the table is full of apetizing dishes and everyone eating and laughs.
I wake up.
I have forgotten all the face exept the first woman's.
The "incomprehensible" face of the man is especially inaccessible, as if i had repressed it.
Never overestimate mankind.
