    Stress SUCKS

    I recently been having a lot of issues with stress lately to the point I am getting horrible migraines, can't sleep, my diet is a mess... Ugg. I am not sure if I made a thread like this here or not but....

    What are some things you do to combat stress?

    I know there are typical things like yoga, meditation, walking outside, listening to calming music,ect.
    I am at a point where I don't really have anything to destress with so I want to see what you all do here.

    Yes it does indeed. I work in a call center and I deal with difficult people all the time and it can be a challenge to keep my composure. There's no special way that I combat stress. If I had a really shitty day at the office, I just sit down and browse the internet, maybe listen to some music just to get the stress out of my system. Nothing fancy but it works.

    Yeah I guess not focusing on the thing that is causing stress does help. I can only imagine what that is like. I worked for a call center a few years when I was younger and it was very, very hard to stay polite at times lol

    Personally, I don't do well with stress but what can I do? One must always hustle to make both ends meet. Sometimes, I would be forced to do 2 or more jobs in order to get more money ; and all these takes their toll on me.

    Now after these stress are racked up for me, I try to get myself relived in some ways that are comfortable for me. I try to meditate, go for a swim, listen to music, take a walk and nap. And I try very much to off my phone or laptops while doing so.

    I think the best way to deal with stress is to first understand why you get it.Basically you start getting stressed when you start to overthink a particular thing that does not make you happy.Say you are spread out on your couch and all you can think about is the shitty day you've had at the office,why don't you try and focus your attention on something else that will need all your focus.A book might do.You can also handle a task on your computer.As much as I am a a strong advocate for music,sometimes it does more harm than good.You may find that listening to music actually heightens your feelings of despair.I am sure you have experienced this.One of my best tactics for handling stress is shouting.I walk t0o an abandoned area close to home and shout till I can't anymore.It always seems to do the trick for me.

    Nah, stress makes life challenging for me. I simply cannot live without stress. I would get bored, and life would feel quite empty. I recommend a moderate level of stress. That way, you would be stimulated, while not being too troubled in life.

    There's always stress in life and what one can only do is to minimize it. Whenever I'm stressed out by a particular problem, with no apparent quick solution, which means it's going to be a long running complicated problem. I would go out with friends, hangout and talk over coffee or drinks. By doing so I also get the chance to talk about my problem and get their advices, this would make me feel better and alleviate some of the stress because my friends are supporting me.

    I've got one remedy that always picks me up whenever I'm stressed out or feeling kind of low. I just roll a joint and after smoking it everything goes back to normal. All this talking about smoking makes want to get stoned. You know what, I'll just go and light one. Right now.

    I may not smoke but I do respect what it can offer people. It is a lot less damaging than drinking and no hang over either. Plus, most people who smoke tend to just mellow out and play video games.
