    Stupid Click Bait Articles

We've seen them all over the internet. Claiming a vegetable can cure diseases in a week, telling us that if we live in [INSERT STATE YOU LIVE IN HERE] one simple trick will save you a butt ton on car insurance.
They're al articles no one should he dumb enough to click, but, sadly, people are.

So I was wondering what te stupidest click bait articles you've ever seen have been.

I saw this article last year at work. I think I was perusing ESPN. And, of course, the side had all these stupid articles.
Most were run of the mill crap like I mentioned above.
But there was one that made me laugh, but also really annoyed me.
The title was something along the lines of "Celebrities we lost this year no one cried about". With a picture of Susan Boyle. A singer who is very much alive, and was even part of America's Got Talent Champions that year.i couldn't believe the site th at hosted that article could get away with something like that. You'd think claiming someone was dead that wasnt would be illegal. Now, obviously, the article used her image for shock value. You see Susan Boyle, get curious, and click the article.
I just did a quick Wikipedia search and found out the article was as real journalistic itegrity.
There was also an article about Rachael Ray getting beat up with the shittiest photoshopped of a black eye I've ever seen.

The most recent one I could think of involved one of the biggest scams on the internet and that is fat loss. Most of the time, these items get blocked by my adblocker but this was in the form of a Youtube video. The woman was "sponsored by" some weight loss tea. Not only does it do nothing unless you are eating healthy and exercising (big surprise) but it actually caused people to gain weight because they think the tea is a miracle weight loss drink.

Not an article, but the post reminds me of moronic ads. I'm sure most of us know this one or one of its 10,000 variants.

I don't know man, the offer sounds pretty compelling.

    Some offers are:

    Milfs in your area

    Or

    Sexy single Asian girls

    Or

You can't beat this game without cooming in 30 seconds

    Those ads are so annoying

What about e-mail spam? I am far from old and a woman yet my old e-mail regularly received messages about viagra, hot single seniors, black singles only, and "meat the man of your dreams"... Not a typo, it was gay men. I used to just look through the titles for a laugh before cleaning the spam folder.

I almost never check my spam box but this piqued my curiosity. On the first page showing fifty e-mails I was surprised that only ten of them were related to sex. There were many advance-fee scam e-mails unsurprisingly.

A dating e-mail said "India likes you!", which is interesting because I've never associated with Indians before. I got e-mails from a few "women" containing what was essentially the same message, just ordered a bit differently.

    Happy to meet u!
I am a very beautiful lady, I totally forgot how I got your e-mail
address, but I have decided to send you a message.
I’m angling for a good, person who is over 30 yo, you can possibly be
    the one.
Write me a response at [redacted]@gmail.com and I’m gonna send you my
freshest snapshots as fast as possible
I'll be waiting for reply! )
Well shit, she figured out my age pretty well! Angling? I'm a mantis, not a fish. They really need to work on the grammar.

    A different dating e-mail:

I've never been in love before you came along! I find no use in dull dating. I just wanna chat with u a bit and I can tell if we'd be a good match! I see no reason we shouldn't be, since I've heard all these great things about you from my friends.
Waaaaiiiit a minute! Which of you has been singing my praises? What are these great things and who is this mystery broad?

I also found a message from an Amazon review group. I've done this thing in the past. I should make a thread about it because it's an interesting topic. I was given a list of over a hundred different products I could choose from. In my experience none of these have been scammy. These guys are pretty desperate for reviews, you see. They pay you back after a review. Sometimes the products are pretty good so I did my homework. I've wanted to get a steel bento box for some time which may come in handy once lockdown is over, so I asked to test that. There was a pair of meat claws too. A perfect item to test for the bento box. I'll be able to shred my steaks and other meats like Wolverine and far more quickly than with a fork.

    Looking forward to those!

I am honestly clueless as to how I got all these sexual e-mails considering I never signed up for anything of the sort. I feel like I much have signed up for things years ago completely unrelated nad my address was sold or something. I don't use that e-mail anymore. My new one has 0 spam as well. I am going to keep it that way.

I hate the clock bait articles...

I am trying to watch anime and the porn stuff pops up saying:

30 single milfs in your area

    Or

You can't last 30 seconds in the game!

I am beginning to think that 70% of what passes as "news" these days is clickbait but it uses people's emotions to generate views and interactions which results in revenue for the new outlets and they know this. It is almost like I can't tell the difference between standard clickbait ads and news stories anymore.
