Anyone else excited for Pokemon Sun & Moon?

I'm pretty excited for the new pokemon games, and I was wondering if anyone else here was.
I've been a fan of the pokemon games since Red & Blue, and I still am. I'm not as huge of a fan now, but I still very much enjoy the games.

I'm definitely interested-- to be honest, I never really played these games when I was younger (beyond Pokemon Stadium that is, but I don't think that counts) but I always enjoyed the anime, so I'm seriously considering jumping in with this one. The tropical setting looks really nice, the overworld in general looks like a major step up from the previous games.

I have to say though, some of these new Pokemon look hilariously silly. xD

To be honest, no, but I feel like I should be. I loved Pokémon back in the Gold/Silver days, but the only one I bothered to seriously play afterwards was Pearl. The amount of Pokémon puts me off a bit and how they've run out of ideas compared to the original designs. I'll probably give this a go and see what I think.

    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

I'm a mixture of excited and uncertain. I'd probably be more excited if I had a reliable 3DS to play it on at this stage, since mine is literally broken in half, connected by a wire. I mean, the screens and stuff somehow work, but...If I don't hold them tightly, the connection will probably snap under pressure. So, I'm not bothering with it.

I do like keeping up on the updates though. I like the Alola version of Eggsecutor so far. Also had a nice conversation the other day after someone came up with an interesting idea in a discord chatroom for a fan game: If two eggsecute breed, won't they just make more eggs anyway?

I'm a little off about the alola forms of other pokemon by the way. But the z-moves are interesting overall, the dancing bit is nice (though I pray I never have to dance in reality for it, since I have two left webbed feet)...I think the best part to me is that it really is basically relatable to the Orange Islands, which I liked a lot and was upset there was never a game based off of.

I've been a Pokemon player since Christmas morning of 1999 when I got Pokemon Yellow and a Game Boy Color. I managed to keep up with the series over the years as a guilty pleasure but I kind of stopped after Pokemon Y. I do still have the yearning to play but these days I find myself quite busy with work and feel guilty sinking so much time into an RPG like the old days.

Sun and Moon do look enticing, as did Omega Ruby (Mega Sceptile looks amazing!) but I'm not sure I'll get around to it anytime soon.
