If they bring it back, they just can't have old school/new school anime. Stuff like Young Justice, and possible Adventure Time would have to be on as well. As Marz Girl said, they need a good mix of old, new, import, and home brew creations.

but knowing adult swim, i think what they'll do is just slap toonami bumpers, promos, and intros around their current saturday night block.

I would love to have Toonami back with some good anime, obviously Outlaw Star one of them. But I feel they need to give us some anime's that aren't popular or part of the main stream here. I think it was easy for them to start putting on the shows that had over like 50+ episodes to keep it feeling as if it was new; however, those shows started making me watch it less and less. Outlaw Star was straight out of nowhere when they first put it on the air and maybe that's why I loved it so much then and even now because it felt it was like an underdog compared to other famous shows at the time like the Dragonball series.

Whatever they do, it would definitely be in their best interest to re-introduce Toonami back onto the station. So many channels change from what made them big and then they realize why the ratings have declined. I understand you can't be stagnant but man, you can not just change what the people have loved you for to begin with.

Just bring Outlaw Star back on TV on a reasonable time and I will be a happy guy.

Reading this thread, my mind has basically imploded. Joke or not, they actually went out of their way to do this? Incredible! Toonami...such fond, fond memories. Outlaw Star, Ronin Warriors, Zoids, Zatch Bell, Naruto, the Funimation dub of One Piece, and so many other shows. And it was the censored version of Maze of Despair that they aired? Due to really irritating scheduling conflicts, I actually never got to see even small parts of episodes 5, 10, and 15 of Outlaw Star until I got the DVD boxsets, and that was years after they took it off Cartoon Network. I really curious to see what those episodes had been like after being censored. Boomerang is one of the few channels I'm willing to watch these days, regardless of what's currently on at the time. Otherwise, I only ever really use my TV for video games. But if they were to bring Toonami back, that would be a dream come true. In fact, I'd be ecstatic if they made it a 2-3 hour programming block on Boomerang.

Ah Ronin Warriors, that was a pretty badass show as well. I remember other shows like Tenchi Muyo, Voltron, Thunder Cats, and I am not sure if Yu Yu Hakusho was Toonami or Adult Swim by that time? Back to Outlaw Star on it, I am surprised why they would put on Maze of Despair of all episodes? I thought it was a pretty weak episode compared to most. Yes, you finally see the Galactic Leyline which is the place you have been wanting to see for all of the episodes before then but it doesn't have a lot of substance within it. Especially for doing one episode only? Give the people either the first episode or something that would grab new viewers attention.
