RE: Where to find/buy/dl the manga?

Yeah, that's why I got the original ones because I would like to get the closest translation from the original to English; plus, I would rather have the original of anything so to have these three Mangas to me are AMAZING! It was a 10+ year dream finally conquered...almost...

Now I will have to do the most impossible thing now.....I need to find the 2-3 chapters that were NEVER made into a Manga book and try to get those in my hands! As well as get the Wall Scrolls and possibly the novels, I actually haven't looked into the novels, are they actually written by Takehito Itoh?

And yeah, they have color pictures in the front of all books, and some even have a center-fold like picture in the front of the books that are in color.

Like I stated in my last post, it just seems like the book ends where really, the series of the manga should have begun, at least when looking at the pictures and trying to get a generalization of the story (at least for the Manga) It's not like the Anime, so word of warning to everybody.

And also, this is to all the readers/community members:You can actually find and read the entire first Manga volume of Outlaw Star for free online on most Manga sites. If you haven't read the first Outlaw Star Manga Volume on any site yet, be warned it does contain nudity and adult themes in each Manga. And when I looked through the other two volumes I have, they both have a good amount of that in them so just a word of warning when we actually get scans and translations of the other two up here!

Agreed, this is all too awesome. We have to make this a project to have completed!

If I have to, I'll try to convince my big sister who was at the top of her japanese class in college to have something to do when she's bored.

RE: Where to find/buy/dl the manga?

    Yes we must!

Also, I was looking up some Outlaw Star stuff and much to my surprise, a seller by the name of passingfancy00 who is selling the Outlaw Star Mangas, I promise you that I am not trying to solicitate anything here by any means but if you are like me and want the physical Japanese copy of the Outlaw Star Manga, check out this link for the first Manga!

    Outlaw Star 1st Star Manga

It runs for the price of $9.99 and about $4-5 for shipping, so you can get all three Mangas for around the price of $45.

HOWEVER! I am looking into something else right now, I purchased my first two Mangas from this same seller, but they weren't selling the last one at the time so I bought one on Amazon.co.jp I also stumbled upon some other intriguing artifacts for Outlaw Star and I am trying to see if my guess's are correct.

    Outlaw Star Paperback

This book was advertised in the back of the last Outlaw Star Manga and so it MIGHT be where the last manga left off.

But even that isn't the shocking part...
Outlaw Star Search In Japans Amazon

When you see the Outlaw Star 03. Loud Minority, you will see there are two products of the same item being sold, or so I thought...
The first one is being sold at 2,311 yen over the 1 yen of the other one. Look closely and look at the orange letters that are on the right of the picture, you will see the more expensive product is being placed in "English Books" where the least expensive is under "Japanese Books"

If what I think is true, the English one MIGHT actually be a translation of the original japanese into English and finally being sold! If I find that 2,311 yen isn't that bad of a price, I MIGHT take a shot and get it just to find out as well as get the other novels from their. If anyone can find more detail out, PLEASE let me know! I want to finally be able to read the books and see how the Manga/Novel story differs from the anime!

EDIT: Mantis is right about the last part not being English, listen to him. I didn't see that when first venturing on that site.

RE: Where to find/buy/dl the manga?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but since Google Chrome translates all Japanese pages into English, I could tell that the more expensive one was placed in an international books section and that it is the German version of the manga. That said, I will probably end up buying the German one myself to see the difference, because apparently the number of volumes is different in the German/Italian versions than the Jap version.

RE: Where to find/buy/dl the manga?

Meh, I don't feel that bad. It's good to know before I went purchased it so you actually saved me. But the paperback does supposedly start where the manga left off. At least, I think it does. Never-the-less, I am going to try and get every piece of the Manga/novel possible.

EDIT: Quick update on the Novels. Apparently they are NOT based on the Mangas and are actually just a novel depiction of the Anime series. With that said, I don't think it progresses past the original Anime series. However, there is one I think called El Dorado, or has that in the title of the novel, that is an original concept story based off of Outlaw Star including the cast. If I find more info on it and/or obtain it physically, I will be sure to share that with all of you.

RE: Where to find/buy/dl the manga?

I've found the 4 translated articles are a great read on iPhone.
Aside from the long process of 'Save As', it nice to have some reading material on the device.

Heres a DL link for a folder containing them all - just drag it into your Photo source folder and sync up; it should add a new section under camera roll.

Thanks. That might work well on my Galaxy S2.
