I've got that covered. For the extra chapters I'll have the same person who translated the audio drama assist me.![]()
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
Jim: "How do you know?"
Gene: "I don't!"
Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"
I still want to learn Japanese though...I got the mangas and light novels for Outlaw Star INCLUDING one for Princess Mononoke

I got my haul. Interestingly though, inside the magazine that was believed to be the one with Chaser (chapter 21, the final) was actually the penultimate chapter, Sacred Ground. That means that since this magazine I got is Ultra Jump #28 and we found out this one (er, if I remember right?) doesn't have an Outlaw Star chapter in it, Chaser should be in issue #30, dated as a June issue. It's quite confusing for my feeble mantis mind though, so I hope I've got this right. Either way, I'm not sure I'll be able to order again for a while since I spent a lot of these Outlaw Star items. Anyway, here's what you've been waiting for...

Yeah, only some crappy preview phone photos for now. I won't be ready to debind this magazine for quite some time since I'm translating everything else first.

Very cool

Good news. I think I figured everything out and have caught a listing for the issue with the final chapter (Chaser) inside. I've made a request to my proxy to snap it up. The magazine is super-cheap, but I'll have to pay a lot more than the cost of the magazine in commission and shipping. It's worth it though. You need to (or get hit with a fine) pay the final shipping costs within thirty days after they receive the item, so maybe I'll use the time to see if the one remaining chapter (Intermission II) turns up anywhere.
Anyhow, I'll let you know if my proxy succeeds in getting the issue. I'm totally psyched for this and the manga in general. It's been tough to work hard on the translation every day but it's great fun to read it as I go along, like a whole new Outlaw Star story. Well, that's what it is... silly me!It's really growing on me.
Edit: My proxy got it! Just Intermission II remains. (Still, I won't update the list until it's actually in my hands.)

Intermission II (Ultra Jump #25, or so I hope) popped up and I've ordered it! Mandarake really is a great place to order manga-related items from because they deliver worldwide themselves so you don't need a proxy.. The only downside is delivery. SAL is far cheaper but it can take a month to deliver, and I'm too eager about this whole thing to wait that long so I went with DHL. EMS was also an option which is fast and recorded delivery, but since DHL Wordwide Express was only ¥200 more I just went with that as I might have it on Wednesday. The magazine itself was only ¥200, so in the end I paid less than $2 for the item and $35 for the delivery! The costs are even worse when you use a proxy. This is why I keep saying to nearly always buy lots of items at once. Also, on that, I personally advise against using DHL (at least in the UK) for anything a little more expensive. (In the UK, over ~$19.) You'll nearly always be hit with a customs charge, whereas with SAL and EMS this never seems to happen.
Back on topic though...

Woohoo! Thank you Mantis! Can't wait to see the pages! I've been wanting this for so long![]()

Great news, you are the king of the outlws. Love the Aisha pic. I've seen it before, but very low res.
We are all insane, we just act normal for the sake of others.
