When I was younger, born in 1990, and went trick-or-treating from 1995-2003, we went out from about 4:30pm til 8pm ish..

I miss Halloween. Such a flipping awesome holiday

If parents would be parents, they wouldn't have to worry so much about kids getting hurt.

My Halloween is usually just a night of popcorn, candy, and cheesy old horror flicks. I make it a habit to watch Re-Animator every year on Halloween night.

I think out Halloweens were from 7PM until 9PM when I was growing up. I remember getting out before the sun was all the way down but it was dark halfway through. It was a lot of fun as a kid. I don't really care much for it as an adult. I am sure it would be more fun if I lived in an area where there were trick or treaters but I do not. Too dark and no sidewalks around here.

    Dang! That's crazy.

I usually started like an hour after school

School would let out around 2:50pm.

    I would walk back.. like 20mins (~1mile)

And would watch cartoons and go trick or treating at like 4:30pm

I think mine were closer to Korin's. 6:45/7pm - 9:30 or so. People turn their porch lights off when they don't wanna serve candy anymore & I would even keep my head on a swivel until the very end for any houses with lights still on. On that note, I just did round 2 of Halloween decorating today during my lunch break! Last weekend I put out pumpkins & gourds that I grew myself to decorate the empty spots near my door/garage. Today I strung up purple lights (christmas tree lights, but purple) around my garage doors & replaced the 4 lights on the front of my house with deep orange-colored ones. I also put up some purple "shooting star" lights in the big-ass tree on my front lawn.

Like this, but more purple than blue.
