Thread: Weekend Get-Together

To be fair, I'm contemplating on having quite a few drinks myself so I might be in the same boat.

Two options work for me, regardless of whether Saturday or Sunday:

At night here, 10.30PM or earlier (like I said, for the sake of maintaining my sleep schedule I'm trying to avoid sleeping much later than midnight), sometime in the afternoon for most of you.

Or...

Better for most, but wouldn't work for other Brits (or most Europeans for that matter), I'm willing to game or watch stuff when I get up at 7.30AM, which would be late night for Americans. From what I've learned, that would be fine for many of you night owls.

I'm good Saturday night (technically Sunday morning) 2:30 AM EDT. Only for like an hour or two tops though, I wanna get to bed by like 4am so I can do stuff Sunday. I thought Mantis was 6 hours ahead of me so this was gonna be easy, but he's only 5 ahead. To start...anything really at 2:30am is rough, but I'll try. I won't wanna play games that late but I will watch OLS and drink beer.

In that case, like you suggested we could watch some of that Toonami Outlaw Star? The twenty-minute episodes should work well as most films would take too long. I guess this is a better option than the afternoon for you. Sunday morning and therefore Saturday night it is!

Maybe I'll have a second get-together late Sunday (as mentioned, around 10.30PM for me or afternoon in America) but it really depends what Starwind55 (possibly two get-togethers may be a bit much?) and Baron's doing then. At least that gives Baron a chance.

Not sure. I haven't heard anything from Mantis.

Sleeping beauty skipped out on us! It's nearly 4am here and I've been pre-gaming for a few hours so i'm not gonna join if anything happens at this point. Perhaps we can work it out some other week? It'll be a little while before I'm up for this arrangement again though since I regularly have people over on Saturday nights. 2 saturdays from now looks open.

Hell no! I was messaging you at 8.30AM! Starwind55 and I thought you skipped out on us! Anyway, despite the hiccups we got it going and it was pretty fun.



We watched the first three episodes of censored Outlaw Star and voice-called for around an hour and a half I think. Decent get-together!

Somehow after the additional hours of beer i'm not hungover today, just really thirsty. That's the power of Pine Sol, baby.

That being said, it might be better for me to make time on an afternoon than an early morning in the future. I think i may have woken the waifu up a few times and i slept until the afternoon.

On the plus side, i fell asleep quicker than ever before lol.

Perhaps you ate quite a bit before? That typically happens to me after a night of drinking (I seem to do a really damn good job of avoiding hangovers). All in all, it was a fun time and it was cool to hear everyone for the first time. Looking forward for the next get-together!

And Mantis, did you do your homework and stopped at Five Guys?
