Wow, those are some real lunatics! That black conspiracy theorist sounds hilarious. I'd be trying my hardest to not play with the guy and wind him up.

Also, lol'd at the last part. I completely relate. I've cringed so much when explaining things like this over the phone. I was trying to explain a code entry and what to enter including the upper and lower case characters. When I got to a number, he asked: "Is that upper or lower case?"

Oh man, I could probably go on forever about some of the people I deal with (Did I also mention that I had a guy yell at me and compared taking an exam to get licensed to Nazism?). The hard part of my job isn't memorizing product knowledge, it's trying to resist the urge to open a verbal can of whoop ass on some of these people. I relate to you wanting to mess with some of these people...if only our calls weren't recorded.

I don't know whether I'd find some of this random lunacy frustrating or entertaining. Though I guess with the yelling it's more so the former.

It's not exactly the same thing, but if you'd enjoy watching somebody else mess with people over the phone I'd certainly recommend some YouTube channels. (In this case scammers, but heck, I've unleashed a verbal assault on those guys before. A woman kept calling me asking if I'd been in a car accident recently. Eventually I told her she'd be in one if she didn't stop calling me.)

    This guy's great:

And this one (though I feel sorry for the scammer in this case):

The second one is kind of sad. It's like his job pushed him to the point where he is just trying to reach out to anyone who would just give him one moment of pity. Still, that was pretty damn awkward of him. I actually tried to find something about call center agents losing their shit on some of their customers but, oddly enough, I couldn't find any. I'm surprised that we don't hear this happening too often. There is a site called not always right that has people from various jobs talking about their experience dealing with douchey customers. Some of them are a fun read.

I am fine. I am kind of tired of work. I also tried to give a gift to someone who used to be important to me but hates me now. I know it's kind of stupid, but that's just it. All I'm doing is caring about someone... who does not care about me anymore.

Ever had to deal with someone like this guy?

But moving onto the topic, I'm doing... okay. I've had some issues with family lately but I'm just trying to forget about it all until after my upcoming holiday. Then I'll sort shit out, but for now I don't want to create a fuss.

Holy freakin moses. I've had some intense callers but not quite that intense. If that were me, I would've told him that if he continues to persist with that attitude and language that I would end the call. Quite frankly, what the agent should've done was get his information and report this guy's ass to a supervisor so they can get the company to press charges against him for threatening violence. I had a similar situation where a woman was upset (This was a year ago so I forgot her exact situation) and, when I verified her name, my supervisor told me to immediately transfer the call to him. I did so and looked at the notes to find out why. Turns out that she was threatening to bomb one of our test centers. I'll never understand why these kinds of people think that pulling this shit is going to help them any better.

In other news, my apartment is now clean. My landlords are going to be doing an inspection in the next few days so I spent a good portion of last week cleaning and now it's pretty fine tidy for the most part. But man, cleaning is such a pain, especially when it comes to mopping the place. Still, the place really needed it so it's nice for it to be less cluttered and more neat.
