My husband is using Linux and I do have it running on my older laptop. I am going to switch over. I am not a fan of Mac. I never liked how it felt and I have tried using it a few times. The options they have with Linux now match Windows almost perfectly so the change will be easy enough for me. I can't remember which one he is using but I will be using the same as him.

I'm looking forward to getting more in-depth with it. I realize that the basic experience is similar to Windows at this point, but I will be expected to learn Linux administration. Lots of command line stuff & automated scripts to interact with our office database/web server. I'm talking about this as if I have any idea how to do it, which I don't. But perhaps a year from now I can look back on this post and see how far I've come.
