    RE: Anime Series Past

I could ask the same thing about such animes as One Piece and DBZ.

Did any see the ending for DBGT?

Only because we all know it. There was going to be an Outlaw Star 2, known as Sword of Wind. It was never confirmed though that this was official or fan speculation, though a lot suggests it is official as many sources reported the information was ripped from Sunrise's site. There was also going to be a sequel in manga form, known as Retaliation.

I heard some stuff about Sword of the Wind. I can't say it sounded as palatable as OS did. I mean, they ditch the crew, and only keep Jim? Why Jim? Oh well...
And while manga is good, it doesn't hold a candle to anime.[hr]

Subjective matter. Anime is usually an adaptation of manga. Sometimes the adaptation surpasses the manga, and sometimes the manga ends up being a lot better. It varies. As for Outlaw Star, well, I can't really say! Not until I find a translator, anyway.

Yeah, there's the rub; most mangas are in Japanese (duh!) So, too much work, sometimes.

Heh, funny you mention that cause it just so happens I lived through that show. Those were during the final days of Toonami and I was able to catch it on air as it was broadcast so I was always glued to my T.V. Although that's the beauty of when shows are on T.V. instead of the internet because then you feel like you HAVE to watch it or else you'll miss out (probably how I survived DBZ too).

Also, does anyone remember Cyborg 009? (the 2001 version). There were nine main characters with different abilities and I remember my sister and I watching it until we had all their powers down .
This is my signature, isn't it great?

Masaka! I do remember Cyborg 009 Wasn't there a baby one? Haha. Another show I watched that came on around the same time but a different channel was Digimon Frontier, the one where they had spirit evolutions.
