Well, I just finished season one and I'm not sure what else to say other than it was really good! The atmosphere in those last two episodes was really something, it felt like a completely different show at times though I knew something was 'off' about that scientist, interested to find out what he whispered in Rick's ear. They really went crazy with killing off the non-essential plot characters, to the point where the black lady choosing to stay behind felt like a necessity for the story more than anything else-- same with the Mexican dude and Mr. Digger.

Anyway, this show is fucking intense. I know how I'll be spending my weekend.

See what I told you, Hari? I'd say the first season is one of the best. The show has its ups and downs but as a whole... prepare for one hell of a ride!

Finished watching S3 last night, a few episodes into S4 so now feels like a good enough time to share my thoughts on the series so far.

S1 is easily my favorite, with S2 at a very close second, with S3 significantly further down the list. S4 has been an absolute slog so far, focusing too much on characters that I don't care about and more action/gore than meaningful story progression and character development. Dale, Shane and Lori were a huge loss for the series in general I think, though I love how they resolved the 'love triangle', and Dale's death was an important step towards the group losing touch with their humanity, something that was explored in S3 though I think they could have done more with it. Seeing Rick lose his marbles after Lori's death was great, but again, I would have liked to have seen more done with that-- for instance if he had become hostile towards the group, but oh well.

S3 had it's high points, the atmosphere was on point in the early prison episodes with it feeling more 'horror' than ever, and Merle's way of redeeming himself was legitimately moving. My main gripe with the season was too much time spent in Woodbury with very little pay off, Andrea was frustrating to watch... I see what they were going for, but the fact that all characters associated with those scenes (aside from Michonne who is awesome, but ends up leaving very quickly) made it a real test of patience. I would have liked to have seen less of Woodbury and The Governor, and more insight into Daryl and Merle's relationship. It's obvious that they'd do anything to keep the other safe, but I never really got a sense of why that was. A flashback episode focused on this would have been very welcome if you ask me.

    Anyway, I've had a great time watching The Walking Dead so far, maybe my lack of enjoyment for S4 comes from the fact that I've essentially been binge watching the series all week (no thanks to my fever. ) Maybe it's time for me to take a break, or maybe I'm just reaching a point where it isn't enjoyable for me anymore. Again, knowing what happens to Glenn just makes me doubt whether I'll see the whole thing through. The 'pool' of characters that I enjoy watching is getting smaller and smaller, leaving a gap that isn't really being filled. I miss you Dale. ;_;

The Walking Dead (WARNING FOR SPOILERS)

Hey there. I'm a huge fan of the Walking dead and I'm currently on the third episode of season 8.

So after Negan executed Glenn and Abraham, I got extremely sad and stopped watching for a while. For real! But now I continued watching and I really love it, still a little sad though.

Let's discuss about the walking dead! A couple of discussion questions: How do you think the whole series will end? Will Rick die?

Also, I think I missed it.

But what happened to Rick's baby girl?

I'm gonna merge this with the existing TWD thread. But as with all things (except Outlaw Star obviously) the spoiler tag exists for this. Just wrap the tag around text, but unfortunately you can't do it for a few words; it has to be a sentence/paragraph at a time. You can also do this more easily with the advanced post mode.
This is a spoiler.
This is a spoiler.

I've gone ahead and spoilered your post anyway. You can also add "=yourdescriptionegoeshere" to the end of the opening tag like so...
TWD Spoilers, yada yada.
Walking Dead Season 8
    TWD Spoilers, yada yada.

The only disadvantage is that it doesn't render in the mobile app properly (last I checked) but not that many people use the app anyway. It does help show what the spoiler actually regards though. With all that out of the way, regarding the first question I hear it's going to be at least twice the length it's currently at which is quite crazy. It's really difficult to say how it will end since the comic isn't that far ahead. (Side note to anyone: Any comic discussions should be in a separate thread since they contain massive spoilers.)

    As for your last question...

    She's safe and sound

A question for everyone who has seen everything already though (I don't recommend you read this, Rexy)...

    End of first S8 half
What do you think about Carl's bite? For most of the series I've honestly found him pretty annoying. Lately he's been okay, but while a lot of news sites are calling it the most shocking death I'm not that bothered by it. I am interested in how it will change the show's pacing and I think it will badly affect their assault against the Saviours. What I really don't want is a fake death, like they did with Glenn. (And then they really kicked us in the balls when he died for real.)

Edit: Oh, he's definitely dead. Apparently they fired Carl's actor.

Are you kidding me?! I read that spoiler BEFORE I read the message above!

    Season 7 beginning
Either way, I hated when they faked Glenn's death the first time and when he and Abraham died for real, I cried. But the fact that they didn't spoil who died was great.

That just goes to show, pay close attention when entering spoiler territory and don't read such threads bottom to top. Speaking of which, you forgot (or didn't notice/read my information) to add spoiler tags to your post. I won't fix your posts a third time.

I won't spoil anything but for anyone who is caught up on it, did it ever pick back up? I felt like season 5 really was a lost interest point for me. I never even finished it. I don't know what it was or what was changed but it just lost the spark for me.
